Dennis - we are also members of Am Legion Riders - Widows Sons raises money for Mason widows - Tom maintains his membership through a lodge in Wauconda, IL - he has not picked a chapter in SW FL yet - he is getting to know the people.
Sam - come to FL and we can put together your class for your certification!
Kelly - how was your birthday weekend? Dd you crack the gift bottle?
Steph - how long until you move again? Its hard to keep up with your gigs.

Good morning BBB crew.
Today is the anniversary of the great Columbus Day Storm. That used to be noted on West Coast newspapers every year. Now it is fading into obscurity. The storm, in 1962, had top gusts measured at 170 mph. It was one of the strongest extra-tropical storms to ever strike the Continental U.S. I was in junior high. We lost a big chunk of our roof and our power was out for two weeks. I feel old.
With the help of DS and DDIL, I got a nice load of bigleaf maple, yesterday. I am still processing it. Good exercise for an old guy. Wet wood is really heavy.0 -

Lazy evening - unpacked; watched some sports (abysmal 1-4 start)....Will thankfully watch Braves in post-season ball all week!
Raining; chilly here. Ordered takeout (bang bang shrimp) from my local bar/grill. Told Rick (my manager friend) to make sure to kick it up a few notches. Is it normal to sweat while eating? Asking for a friend. HOLY COW they were hot! Won't do that again!

We will move from the basement bedroom to a cabin on November 1. But are staying in New Hampshire until mid December. Ready for our own kitchen again. The family we are staying with are super nice but they live a cluttered life and it is driving Ron crazy ( and me by association).

Update from Louisville:
Quiet weekend. Dad is getting noticeably better. Going to get him out to drive a lap or two around the block tomorrow. Using oxygen at night only. Doing exercises. Eating and supplementing. Mom is looking and sounding much better. Delivered her nail polish and her eye glasses along with soft drinks and chocolate. She was seated both times I stopped by so all good signs. Orders for her inhaler were changed from 2 X per day to 'as needed'. Her ten day quarantine ends tomorrow so I assume we will know Tuesday her next course of treatment (rehab unit at the ALF or home nursing).0 -

- Breakfast with the ROMESs. Group was a little larger today.
- Good report from Louisville. God does answer prayers and he doesn't seem to care which denomination is asking. I'm guessing he laughs at our earthly denominations.
- Happy birthday to the IN/MI girls.
- Dave your comment on carrying wet maple reminds me of moving furniture for the church garage sale. I'm getting too old for this. I felt it for a week. I like your way of thanking the tree owner.
- Skip, between my Atlanta Falcons and your football team previously known as the Redskins we are 1-9. We'll have to ask Dave and Mary what it feels like to be on the other side.
- But, we have the Braves to look forward to tonight. They are the under-dawgs but in GA we kinda like the Dawgs.
- New TV is on the Fedex truck for delivery today. Just in time.
