Last night, there was a full moon over the desert landscape here in Phoenix, Arizona. I did take a photo, but this photo is better than mine. Nonetheless, this is what it looked like here.

Beautiful pic Rick! I had no idea you lived in Arizona. We have several friends who live in same town as you and have visited. We love it there, but not to fond of the snakes and scorpians, but weather and scenery beautiful! Thanks again so much for the UAC group! It truly has been a lifesaver and eyeopener for me! You started a great group that helps MANY people. You should be very proud of that!4 -
Oooh, pretty moon!
Thanks for all the comments. I do love my life and even though things aren’t going exactly to plan these last few days, I know I’ll get back there.
Today was very intense. Got to work at 4:30, trashed and loaded seals and drove to the harbour. Loaded seals on boat and headed out at sunrise. 45 nautical miles out we released them in the current heading south. This is why we do what we do and being on a rehab release is the best thing. Then we head back to shore stopping for the guys to catch a couple of Dorado when we are in the bay. Make it back just as the wind turns and the ocean starts getting very rough. That was 5 hours at sea with no escape from the sun and wind and spray. I was soaking wet most of the trip and have a few sunburnt areas. By 12:30 when I got home my watch said I had 10 active hours, over 80 exercise minutes, over 700 active calories and over 17000 steps. I had not had enough water on the boat as there is no bathroom and it’s not as easy for girls to just go. I napped for an hour then showered and ate on my way to kids class. Kept getting the kids mixed up which they found very funny and came home afterwards instead of staying for adult class and yoga. Napped again until dog woke me up for his supper. Temperature was up to 38.8 (it has been 36.3 when I signed in for kids class) and my urine showed I was still dehydrated despite the three litres I have had since I got home. Got some electrolytes drink from mom and gonna jump in a cold shower now to drop core temperature. I know the danger signs of heat stroke and I don’t have any of them so for now I’m just resting at home. If I get worse I’ll call my doctor.
Needless to say it’s a pass day. I’m sure I’ll be back to normal tomorrow or Wednesday latest, and I’m on an off week for work so I can just rest and recover.8 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? Yes - went for a run and enjoyed watching the full moon set. It was bitter cold by our Tx standards but seeing that moon made it all worth while!
Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes - prelogging
Well I had not planned to join for Dec as being in maintenance for over 3 yrs now I actually have different monthly goals. But... then..... I would miss all the updates from folks here so... as Arnie says. "Ill be back"7 -

⭐️ EXERCISE: Yes.
⭐️ CALORIES: Yes.
⭐️ TRACK: Yes.
PASS: 2/3
I'm finishing out the month only using 2 pass days! Yay! Today I did 35 mins of c25k and then walked an additional 45 mins on the treadmill. I'm gonna have to get back to it, because I just checked fitbit and I'm in 4th place with those workweek hustle girls! Ugh!
CONGRATS to all the winners and champions! If you are still here, still logging, still posting -- you are a WINNER in my book! We all know how difficult this time of year can be. Kudos to everyone still working it!
@Dory_42 take care of yourself, and I hope that you feel better SOON!
@SummerSkier this is such a terrific group - and I'm GLAD that you are sticking around for another month!
@RangerRickL gorgeous picture! My son decorated their house for Christmas over the last couple of days, and took this picture last night. Such a beautiful moon!

Favorite summer activity is likely why I am here - probably "eating". I am not a summer person. Fall is my favorite. I am not a bright sun, heat, humidity, or water person. So of course it made a lot of sense that hubby and I bought a place in the Florida Keys last year. I think I'm going to need to find a better favorite summer "activity". :P

Pass day number 3, as I planned.
Went to the dr for my annual physical. He asked me how I lost the weight and kept it off during a pandemic! If he had a weight problem, I would have told him about this challenge, but he’s quite fit.
But truly, this challenge has helped me get off those 6 pounds I did gain during the pandemic! I’ve already signed up for next month because I know I need the accountability! I especially love the 3 pass days, because I tend to be an all or nothing gal and it’s good practice for me to take a pass day with calories and get right back on track the very next day! Not 2 weeks and 5 pounds later!! So thank you for starting this challenge and keeping it going @RangerRickL !5 -

No recipes here but jerk goes with everything 🤤 Depending on how "gamey" you like your meat to taste, I tend to go light on seasoning (especially if it's freshly hunted).
Hamburger patties and meatballs (both of which are freezable, in case you have a lot) are always a winner.
As for the last day of November? I almost took Pass Day #3 but I'm still under by 65 calories. Let's see how tomorrow's weigh-in fairs.

@ginadomaszewicz Until the pandemic, I was a full-time 'senior attorney' working primarily with seniors. I'm 70 years old and have asthma, so last March, I turned the firm of 20 people over to the young folks (including a lawyer-daughter). I joined my wife of many years at 'her condo' in Phoenix. Last June, we returned home to our farm located 50 miles southwest of downtown Chicago. Now we are back in Phoenix until next spring. This year, we will be in AZ more than IL. I brought a horse and our dog with me this time.
You live in IL, right? Our law firm is located west of Naperville and the farm is located in my hometown of Oswego.
Thanks for being such an encourager to everyone in the UAC!!

2 out of 3 today (didn't log - but very high step count and fitbit accumulated NEAT-total - and not a heavy-meal or snacky-day)
It RAINED all day ..... most of the snow is long gone.
My breadmaker machine attempted suicide by jumping right off the table (it never did that before) .... that loaf didn't work out; the machine appears to still be ok (only ATTEMPTED suicide) and a second loaf-attempt is due to finish in ~ 45 minutes. It stays so much more still on the counter compared to the table for some reason .....

Thanks Rick for the kind words. Yes I live in Illinois. I am in Plainfield, so I know exactly where Oswego and Naperville and Chicago are! Gonna ask you a question: Did your farm by chance sell eggs, raw milk, steaks, etc..? My son eats very healthy and has always watched what he puts in his body. He eats mostly organic and nothing that has ingredients you cant pronounce! He even got into a " thing " for awhile wear he wouldnt buy a toothpaste with floride because its supposedly bad for you. His eggs he will drink raw in a glass, his milk he likes raw because supposedly bad for you when they heat it up, forgot that long name its called, bought deodorant without aluminum, ya get my drift! He has started to realize with no job though however and not much money harder to eat that way because eating healthy is expensive sadly! He always liked going to the farm though for eggs, milk, butter, cheese, and sometimes a splurge on steaks. Did your farm have a name? He might have went to it because think he went to one in Oswego or could have been Carol Stream?1
