Took a rest for morning training because itβs a busy week. Work with vet visit and a new very fat stranded seal (she was rehabbed elsewhere and with us for release next week). Then kids class and Jiu Jitsu. Fun with coach and his family between classes as usual. Good food choices which are all logged and under budget.
We got the kids to make a video singing happy birthday to coach for tomorrow and his son is under strict instructions not to tell his parents we did it. He said we can throw him off the roof if he tells! He is such a dork!8 -

Favorite summer activity is likely why I am here - probably "eating". I am not a summer person. Fall is my favorite. I am not a bright sun, heat, humidity, or water person. So of course it made a lot of sense that hubby and I bought a place in the Florida Keys last year. I think I'm going to need to find a better favorite summer "activity". :P

@Bill70sStrong ..Thank you for serving our country! You were in Vietnam in the Army around the same time my Dad was!
Thank you to all the veterans for everything you do for our country. Everytime we are out and meet a veteran my husband and I always shake their hand and thank them. It means the World to them to know that people appreciate what they do for us. They have seen terrible things, things that cause night terrors, they have lost friends while in service, etc...but despite all that they do it for us, so thank you again!7 -

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row,
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.
We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.
Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

Pass day #2 for Wednesday. I wasn't able to track breakfast, which was a pretty greasy breakfast burrito. Pretty sure it put me over, even though I split it with someone.5
