Good morning BBB crew.
Pretty raw outside, today: 37 and windy right now. A good day to stay indoors, I say.
Spent two hours in a Zoom meeting with a wood turning artist from Ireland, yesterday. DW regularly video chats with relatives in the Philippines and around the world. I remember when it took you a half hour to put through an operator-assisted overseas phone call, and it cost a fortune for five minutes. Amazed at how the world has shrunk in my lifetime.0 -
Time marches on, and we see more and more advances; mostly good.
Looking at advances we are so blessed in many ways yet we want more, looking at cost actual cost has gone down in relationship but we have so much more to want and seek. What was once luxuries are now necessities.
Lee, remember when I thought 30 was old, then 40, then 65; being past all that now I'm thankful to wakeup breathing.

Am at amateur day of our Connecticut trial. 2nd series is over, judges need to discuss call backs so we are having early lunch.
Pretty amazing the shrinkage. Pretty cool Rita that Rita can do that with her family.

- Dave, I remember when I was stationed in Iceland and getting a monthly MARS (Military Auxiliary Radio System) call home. Amateur radio at it's best. "How ya doing?" OVER.
- I didn't watch the WS game to the end but saw a replay of the ending this morning. Wow! If the Dodgers end up losing the series they'll think of that play for a long, long time.
- Neighbors grandson, Max Johnson, got into the LSU game as quarterback to run out the clock. Not bad seeing he was in HS last year.
- I decided a long time ago the definition of old is 10 years older than me.

DMIL who is 92 refers to anyone who has gray hair as old
DMIL did not get up to go to church with us, after we get home she ask DW could she wash today; then comes into greatroom and ask me could she wash; told her I did not care it was her soul, seems that DW had told her about the same. Believe she may have peed in her bed, said bed cloths were wet. Told her again if she wanted to wash to go ahead.
DMIL said she did not feel good is why she did not get up, yet last night she had said for us to say a prayer for her at church, but now wants someone to take her to Walmart; she picked the wrong ones neither I nor DW likes to shop. Once a week for groceries is enough for us. She went with DW to store Friday.0 -

Back from San Antonio. Very weird weekend that I think we'd like to forget if we can.
On Friday, I learned a friend from the WW boards that I met in NY about 5 years ago passed. Yesterday, Cecilia lost a 32 y/o cousin to Covid.

We're expecting company soon. Our 3rd annual pumpkin carving with ds2 and co. Angel and I were texting yesterday and she got to pick tonites menu. Here's what our
13 1/2yo requested. Turkey burgers, with cheese, lettuce, tomato. Pasta salad, fries the frozen baked oven kind, raw baby carrots,, pickles, apple cider. Lol. And that's exactly what were having. I did make acorn squash and apples in the crock pot too. She won't touch that though.
Just started to snow a bit here. Not sticking. Tom did the lawn earlier so leaves got picked up. Lots still to drop.
