Beat me by a few minutes, Sam.

Today is my mother's 97th birthday. Wish I could be down in Oregon to give her a hug. Not in a covid year; not when we are in quarantine for DW's cataract surgery, tomorrow.

Have to wait for a telephonic appointment this afternoon, to tell us when and where to report tomorrow. The surgery is scheduled for 8:30, so her report time should be around 7:30. The operation doesn't take very long.

    Good Morning!

Well, Sam beat Dave by a minute, so I guess I will write on this one.

Whew! Too much going on. Work is busy, and home is busy. Connie is persistent in getting a lot of our old stuff purged. She calls it a Swedish death cleansing. It appears that the Swedes have a practice of cleaning out years of clutter as they age, in order to save their children and loved ones from having to do this after they die. I don't think that Connie or I plan on dying soon, however, I agree that this is a great thing to do. We have 30 years of hoarding that we are cleansing. I had no idea that we had that much stuff!

I had to wait in a very long line to vote yesterday. There was one person in front of me. I was in and out in under 10 minutes. There were 15 or so people there in various stages of checking in and voting, and a steady stream of people coming and going

    Have a great day!

I voted at the usual school gym, hardly anybody there early afternoon. Went for a long walk after and a lot more cars at the polls when I was done. People with signs out by the road and on the town common. A good old fashioned and uplifting election day (nobody burning police cars or firebombing the two churches...)

Doctor was frumpy, middle aged, but an easy, relaxing manner. Checked my BP this morning-116/63, 125/61, 126/62. Appointment with nurse in 3 weeks to check BP and compare my meter and theirs to see if they read similar.

Dave, my call letters were KN1WTG. Novice ham license was only good for 2 years if you don't go for next level. Now eliminated by FCC, just 3 levels: Technician, General and Amateur/Extra. 59 years ago---yeesh. I'll be starting over with Technician. My oldest brother was a ham and went into electronics career after the Navy.

    Good Morning

I turned in my ballot last week so no problems there. Today is WI and check-in with the Nurse Practioner at the Hospital for the weight loss program.

We need to follow Connies example

    Happy Birthday to Dave's mom!

Wish you could give her a hug as well, Dave. You'll make it it up to her, I'm sure.

    Be OP ;-)
