Well, we've officially reached the holiday season when there are always temptations and threats to our weight loss success. This is a time when some of us are going to have to dig deep to keep the motivation to stick to our plans and work towards our goals. When I find myself starting to slack, it helps to remind myself why I started and visualize what it will feel like after the weight is gone. If I give in to temptation, I try to not beat myself up and I remind myself that this is a journey. One mess up isn't really that relevant in the grand scheme of things as long as it doesn't happen every day. No matter what, let's keep trying. It might take longer than we plan, but giving up definitely won't get us to our goals. Remember why you started and stick with it! Think of how you will look and feel next holiday season! Even if you lose half a pound every week before May 1st, you'll be 11 pounds lighter! That would feel amazing!

Today:
run, ride, weigh foods and track every bite.

Have a great day!

I know exactly what you mean about Christmas Season! So many temptations in the shops...my plan is to be good until the 23rd when I plan (lockdown depending) to go and visit my brother (he lives 2hrs away) and then Christmas Eve we always have a snacking buffet dinner with the kids which we make home made sausage rolls, cheese straws, cakes and gingerbread men for.

29th, 30th and 31st I’m back at work so I’ll be back to my normal eating routine

Thanks for the motivation @3greyhorses 💐

@jaderbacon sorry I'm not really a snacker (i prefer to waste calories on alcohol 😆) but when I do I like to chop 50 grams of a strong cheese like feta, or have some olives or pickles or some other strobg flavor. Popcorn with nutritional yeast is also great.

@MrsAcyprus2015 I think that planning a feast day in advance is a good motivator to do well before then! And easier to jump back on track afterward instead of feeling like you messed up so what's the point.. enjoy it! 🤓 That's how I'm feeling about Thanksgiving next week 🦋

@Katebook309yahoocom940 omg girl that damn done button!!! Me too 🤦😆🌈 good luck with your goals!

    Had a nice run today.
As much as I love having my husband cook, it's hard for me to track the calories. It's all vegan and whole foods so even if I do go over my calories, at least it's healthy. I just try to keep the portions small.
8 days of no beer and no chips.
Hope everyone had a good day!

I got my bike ride in today when I brought that little kitten to his new foster mom 🌈 i had him over my shoulder in a soft shell cat bag and he did so well! I was going to walk but it was 6.5 km round trip and I wasn't up for that.. sometimes not having a vehicle is a real pain, but it does make you exercise more!!

My goal for the rest of the day is just to stay under on my calories for the day 🌞

@jaderbacon I am a snacker, but I've switched all of my snacks to fruits, veggies and air-popped popcorn. TBH, given the new choices, I'm just not snacking much :p I've been adding some dark chocolate chips to the fruit snacks. 1 chip fits perfectly into a raspberry. They're good with bananas, oranges, strawberries and cherries. I've also been having some hot tea when I get cravings...it kinda helps.

Yesterday I did not post early enough, so there it goes for Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday I went to a party by myself because my husband worked in the afternoon and only stayed 6-8.30 PM, which we know is plenty of time to mess up. We were 12 people there but they cooked for 50 , so not sure where I was in terms of calories. I avoided all meats and cheeses, but not the sides, or the mixed nuts, and had only one glass of wine. The scale in the morning stayed exactly the same as yesterday.
Today was pretty uneventful, just some cooking and hanging out with my girls.

    As for the week challenges:
    -eat within calories +1/3 exercise- ✅ 7/7
    - 2*30 minutes on stationary bike ❌ 1/2
    - bonus activity- sat nothing, sun went for a 3 miles walk
