    Good Morning BBB.
I love Thanksgiving - one of the few major holidays that has not been screwed up by commercials. I'm just cooking for three - Tom has a friend here helping him build out the second floor in his shop (over the bathroom and workout area). We will have all our normal stuff just strange to be cooking such a little amount!
Funny story - I ask Tom if he was good with streamed green beans along with the turkey, stuffing and mashed potatoes - he said he wants green bean casserole like we always have - point in fact: we have never had green bean casserole for Thanksgiving! I don't even know how to make it.
It will be nice to cook Thanksgiving in our new home even if its small and quiet.
Kelly - you need to find the animal talent agent(s) that work in your area - there are some good ones around and I can talk to you and connect you with Jack's 3 main agents that work throughout the midwest. You will have a blast!
    Do good out there everyone.

    Morning~

Looks like I'm staying home. Still waiting for test results before trekking to Maine.....

Broke out the Griswold Jersey today. Perfect cup of coffee from SBUX. So far, gonna be a great day!

BTW - meant to share.....I got hired to teach for Georgetown University beginning in January! I got a cold call from the Dean saying he read some of my stuff and wanted to invite me to join the faculty! Exciting for a kid from podunk Northern Maine!

    Enjoy pies and cooking!

    Morning BBB

I hear Raines greenbean casserole is all the rave. Her Tom says so! ;)

My pick up dinner for 6 looks devine. I'm adding crockpot acorn squash with granny Smith apples to the menu, and done.

I finished decorating from 4am til now. Time to head into my home office for a few hours.

Have a great day! Lots to be grateful for, you all make my list!!! Be well!

    Good morning BBB crew.

Congratulations, Doctor Skip! Will this be a full-time gig?

There are several old Thanksgiving side dishes I kind of miss. We always had canned cranberry sauce it slid out of the can like a cylinder of gelatin. It always seemed to be cut in half lengthwise then served on a saucer, like a little purple quonset hut. Ditto with the canned Boston brown bread. I haven't seen either in decades. Green bean casserole was never on the menu. My mom was partial to peas with pearl onions.

    Morning BBB

My sister makes the best mac n cheese. I will miss that most. Grandma made mashed potatoes in the pressure cooker. With warmed up milk and butter. Always perfect.

Snowing again today. Thankfully it's not really sticking so hopefully we can go for a drive later just to get out.

Congrats on the new gig Skip.

    Good morning BBB friends.
    • Well, we are having all the Thanksgiving classics but simply and in smaller sizes.
    • DW and I agree on most menu items but she likes cranberries and I prefer Dave's cranberry sauce.
    • DW makes a good green bean casserole but tomorrow we are having succotash because that is my favorite.
    • Pumpkin pie is a must on Thanksgiving.
    • Congratulations on the new gig Skip. That is impressive and they sought you out.

Never had that bread. Had that cranberry jelly though. Ha

I made homemade cranberry sauce. It’s amazing.
