I am very happy living in Southern France, but sometimes I do miss my home country of The Netherlands. A couple of hours skating would burn some 800 calories too!

I'm still here - haven't posted in a few days but have not given up either. I did take Tony for a walk yesterday. It probably wasn't the smartest thing to do because the roads are nothing but ice and snow, but the temp was 18 and we both needed some fresh air. I fell once but fortunately it was forward instead of backwards. We went "around the block" which is 3.6 miles and it took me 1 1/2 hours!!!!! Been snowing all night so will probably hit the treadmill today. Tony is laying at my feet right now, holding out hope.
I'm a little jealous about the horse stories. We owned a horse years ago - he was primarily for my daughter to show - but I took some lessons and loved riding in the arena and out on the trails. My "joke" was that I'd rather be in the barn mucking the stall than in my house mopping the floor.
@Chinkiri - one of my "top 3" goals right now is to make it to the Netherlands for a bike trip. Obviously that's on hold but if you have any advise - I'll listen. I'm from the SW Michigan area, settled by the Dutch, so I am 100% Dutch. Although my husband likes to tease me because I'm a redhead which makes him think there's some Viking in me somewhere.
I've used all my pass days. So from here on out will aim for a lower "pass" number than January - which was a whopping EIGHT. Been struggling with some depression and frustration, but this will pass. Told hubby we need to find some sunshine and get away for a weekend, but there's no sunshine to be found within a few hours drive.
Trying to stay positive and focused on the goal. This group is definitely helping. Thanks.14 -

Calories: yes – I have 200 calories left of my weekly total. Did very well today, enjoyed a 3 course Valentine meal with a decadent chocolate dessert.

Feb 14th is my mum's birthday - she is 92 today - and my daughter set up a zoom call so we could all celebrate. I went to her place and we used my laptop. The four great grandchildren are exhausting even on zoom! But it was lovely to see them all, and they sang happy birthday and showed pictures and cards that they had made for her. So a great day.14 -

Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes? yes - I stomped around the house carrying my heavy hands and scaring all the cats. Went outside to check the footing a few times but ice fog had coated everything. Biggest success - not falling.

Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Today I was feeling a bit better (thank Goodness!)... still not back to usual so I took it slow but am so grateful for all the prayers and well wishes!

Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day? Yes , 1,015/1,200, after all the workouts I have done today, I didn't feel like eating after 800 calories. I just managed to push it to 1000 by drinking warm milk.
Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank? Yes, 2,950 of fluid.

Today was the first day of the challenge I'm doing with my niece. I can't believe I managed to finish it off. It was very challenging with its quantities and contents, at least for us. Let's hope I will have a successful day tomorrow as well.

Today I did 60 mins of dance/aerobics (including 25 mins on the front porch because I didn't want to sweat!) and 50 mins of strength training (arms).

No loss to record when I stepped on the scale this morning, but I was glad to see that I'd maintained throughout the last week, which wasn't great. That in itself is a
victory.
The big challenge now will be to keep exercising through an unusually cold week. I hate not being able to get outside, but the forecast windchill is below zero. (In San Antonio! This is crazy!) If we can just make it to the end of the week, the universe should right itself again.
