    2 days of the "Eat a Frog" method is working! However, something amazing happened today when I stopped procrastinating and started my workout. It is snowing like crazy and I work out in front of a big window that looks out into the forest. I had just finished the warm up when a mother deer and her yearling fawn ambled through the woods right in front of my window. It was like they were both saying "See what happens when you eat a frog??? You get to see us during your workout." They were so beautiful against the falling snow and the trunks of all the trees. What a great incentive to walk with Leslie!

    Hope all of you in the south are OK. We are hearing horror stories of children freezing to death, water pipes bursting in homes and monstrous charges on utility bills. Thankfully, warm weather is predicted. :heart:

    My apple watch goal is also my mileage tracked goal: Walk or Run 53 / 75.9 miles this month.
    Special Apple watch Challenge: Unity Challenge - Close my move ring 7 days in a row. Goal Met!

    My yearly physical today showed I'm down 5 pounds from last year. They ordered my labs today so we have to see what those show in a few days.

    2/21 42 min county walking video and ab workout (15min)

    2/19 40 min 2 different LS walks - hiit walk and steel city one (rocky- loved it)
    2/18 30 min L.S miracle mile
    2/17 30 min fast walk with L.S.
    2/16 30 min walk and 20 min snow exercise
    2/15 15 min walk - chiropractor made me a bit sore
    2/14 30 min walk
    week two
    2/13 25 min of snow removal and ice chopping 2,600 steps
    2/12 30 min fast LS video
    2/10 20 min walk 2,300 steps in before 5 am. trying to drinking 32 oz water before I can have coffee.
    2/9 20 min video after school 2 hour meeting after teaching. Really had to push to do this after work. Must plan for morning walk on meeting days!

    2/7 12 min snow blow, 26 min walk through a Scotland town 176 cal, then I did a disco walk for 26 min 210 cal. The disco walk was fun!

    Haven't walked at all this week....it was emotionally a hard one but I made it through. About to head in for a weekend of long work days. Going to make today count and get in 10k steps!

    When we come here and share our good days and our need improvement days we really are being honest and that makes it a good day. I am so grateful to everyone here that shares ups and downs. It makes me feel not alone in this process.

    It is a great group in that way. I learned fairly early that there was no point in making things sound better than they really were because the scale and the tape measure always made reality very clear. Ups and downs are so much a part of this process, even for those of us who have successfully lost the weight and become very fit. Maintaining fitness and keeping the weight off is a constant battle. You are doing great!!! :blush:

    @zichab Thanks! And to your point about how the body adjusts and gets fit, I started out with barely getting thru one mile with Leslie! And I started with beginner strength with HASfit and thought I would never be able to advance. I was doing modified versions I was so unused to lifting weights and using my body to build strength. I'm now in the intermediate and sometimes advanced workouts and moves and I'm so proud of myself for sticking with it. There will always be exercises I cannot perform due to old injuries and past surgeries, but I quit making excuses for it and push past it, finding different ways to use my muscles.

    Sorry, didn't mean to be so long winded! :laugh: I never thought I would be the person who enjoys exercise and makes it such a priority! :grin:

    I read everyone's posts <3 . Well done everyone! Lot of miles πŸ‘Ÿ, strength sessions πŸ’ͺ, and goals met ✨.

    Yes, we did remember some of our "northern skills" to prevent our pipes from bursting. Our neighbor was away for several days so DH wrapped her pipes also and made a shelter for her outdoor kitty that we were feeding. We would never be able to catch her.

    I have not been on the computer much at all because I've been trying to catch up with things here, and DH has been here a lot more. We share the computer and he had to do his catch up for work, and then I'd get distracted and forget to log on till it was too late. Many neighborhoods lost water including ours, and internet and cellular both were either off and/or unreliable. Our son had running water and so DH went there and filled up some empty jugs we had for bathroom usage. Thankfully we had bottle water for drinking. Our neighborhood did not loose power. Our older heater suddenly started really acting up. The next day we tried it again and it was quiet and acted correctly, so we used it sparingly in case it was going to quit forever, and for safety. We were grateful it didn't completely quit. I'm sure that we will finally have to replace the Heater/AC unit soon. We did get snow, but not nearly what other areas in our city received, but enough to be beautiful. South Central as well as so much of Texas had to deal with a lot of ice/ snow on the roads and the freezing rain/ or snow mix as well as unrelenting freezing temperatures, loss of water/ electricity and so much more.

    My goal for this month will once again be to keep moving by using the rebounder, walking (mostly) indoors, using the Gazelle, or working outdoors🌻 πŸ‚.

    February 1: 50 minutes: rebounder, gazelle, ending with indoor walking cool down
    February 2: 2 hours+ groceries shopping, and (+) unloading groceries etc at home
    February 3: 1 hour easy indoor walking
    February 4: Laundry, including hanging outside on the line, + extra cleaning etc.
    February 5: House work & some extra cleaning, partial rest day
    February 6: 60 minutes: rebounder, indoor walking

    February 7: Rest Day!
    February 8: 60+ minutes: one errand, indoor walking as needed + extra cleaning.
    February 9: Partial rest day.
    February10: 60 minutes: rebounder, gazelle, indoor walking, + extra cleaning
    February12: 45 minutes: rebounder, gazelle
    February13: 55 minutes: rebounder, gazelle, indoor walking

    February 14: Rest Day!
    February 15: 45 minutes: gazelle, indoor walking
    February 16-20: no water or need to boil water = no actual 'exercise', but still up and about

    February 21: Rest Day!
    February 22: 60 minutes: rebounder, gazelle, indoor walking
    February 23: 35 minutes: indoor walking
    February 24: 90 minutes grocery shopping
    February 25: 2 hours grocery shopping, gazelle, indoor walking
    February 26: 45 minutes gazelle, indoor walking
    February 27: 30 minutes gazelle

    February 28: Rest Day!

    2/7 12 min snow blow, 26 min walk through a Scotland town 176 cal, then I did a disco walk for 26 min 210 cal. The disco walk was fun!

    2/3 15 min walk in and only 54 oz of pure water. I am not counting coffee or flavored carbonated water.
