Yesterday evening, I got a MFP Private Message expressing concern. I jumped on to MFP and then UAC to check out the post that I had written about Tracking. It was gone!
Sorry about that. Sometimes I get mixed up while reading prior day's posts. But that is not what happened last night.
Sigh!

Yesterday, @Chinkiri posted a Success-Quote.
"Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time.” (Albert Einstein)
then, @MadisonMolly added, ""Success is not final, failure is not fatal; it is the courage to continue that counts." - Winston Churchill
Then, @biketheworld posted about her new insight into her own struggle toward healthy habit success,
"but, someone here mentioned "Half Size Me" podcast...
Yesterday. Holy macaroni she was speaking to me! After my rant last week about gaining 2 pounds, binge eating, not losing any weight during February - let me tell you - I have new energy right now.
Here's the cliff notes - hope it helps someone else too.
Learn to maintain. If you stay at the same weight for a month - celebrate it because you're maintaining! If all you do is go up and down and up and down, you're never learning how to maintain a weight. Better to stay at a weight than have the pounds creep back on.
She talked about people (like me) who binge/overindulge, gain a few/several pounds, and then it takes a week or more to get it back off. She tracks her weight often and now understands exactly how her body will respond after she indulges. Because she knows exactly the outcome of indulging, she's not surprised what happens the next week or two. Therefore, (and I LOVE this line) you don't become angry, bitter, or resentful when your body does exactly what it always does after indulging. You knew going in what it was going to do. That is EXACTLY what I was last week - angry, bitter and resentful.
Really, I'm not expressing this very well - but for me, this really hit home. I did start weighing myself every day (which I know isn't a good idea for everybody) but I'm doing it to understand my own body's natural swings in order to avoid getting all angry, bitter and resentful about it next time.
It's Episode 473 if anyone wants to listen... if it helps someone else - then yay.

I looked this up and found lots of things, but this is mine : "I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times I’ve been trusted to take the game's winning shot and missed. I’ve failed over and over and over again in my life and that is why I succeed". Michael Jordan8

Success? My definition depends on the goal, I think. For this week, it's my nutrition! This is my best week - nutritionally - since I started tracking with MFP back in JAN2020. So even though it's barely afternoon, I'm closing out the day since I:
* pre-planned my meals
* will not deviate from the plan today (even though my "Net Calories Under Weekly Goal" is ~700 which means there's room for a delicious dessert, or drink, or a slice of pizza lol)
So that's success to me today 🤷🏾♀️Since my 40 lb KB is taking some getting used to, I've worked out my expected progression using a drop set approach with my 25 lb KB. The original goal was for the last three sessions to use the 40 lb KB exclusively.
However, I ended off the first week by advancing my workout progression. That means I may end up doing more than 3 sessions this month with only the 40 lb KB.
The number in yellow indicates the number of minutes taken to complete the workout that day

Hi everyone! Very few are original UAC but there are a few who may remember me. I have been away because of illness. Today I got my spunk back. I live next to a church who wants to let a rodeo use their property from May thru Sept. They have approached the village for permits. The neighbors got notice after the first meeting. I contacted the Pastor and he gave me attitude. Okay don't judge me by my salt and pepper hair. You give me attitude I am going to march my you know what to every neighbors door and ask them . Then I gave them pastor's phone number so they could give them their own opinions. So instead of listening to one person with a little kindness you were mean and I let the dogs out on you.5

I almost blew it yesterday but just because my brain was not firing on all cylinders. LOL. I had increased my cals slightly since I am back to some distance running and TDEE is up. But I forgot to log breakfast so while I was working on dinner I thought. WOW. I sure have a lot of cals here this evening. And even with the extra 50 it tickled my mind that something was off. Sure enough. Forgot to log breakfast. Thankfully I had enough left to go that it all worked out but that is my definition of success. When things don't seem right, give it another look with your hairy eyeball.
PS - his highness Bandito did SOMETHING to himself in turnout yesterday and I got a panicky phone call from the barn owner that he was 3 legged lame behind.. So, off to the barn I ran (it's about a 40 min drive) earlier than normal. And indeed. The Bandit was actually LIFTING a hind leg and quite unhappy. There was sweat and heat up near the stifle area so I decided to gimp him out and cold hose for 30 minutes. He was obliging but it was scary to watch him. This morning I decided that I could not wait until afternoon to check on him so I zoomed out to the barn mid morning. He seemed almost completely normal again. What a 360 turn around from yesterday. All I can think is that maybe he banged himself hard on one of the gates in that area and it was like your funny bone where it can sting and hurt badly for hours? There is no swelling or heat today. I am SO relieved. Horses!!!!!

Success, I can think of many things: when you look back and smile means success. When things about to turn ugly but suddenly something unexpected happens and work it out... Success. When my new/old clothes that I didn't get the chance to wear them, are fitting me perfectly... Success!
Goodnight to you all🥰🥰5 -

They say that March comes in like a Lion. Well while I have been making efforts, I am lacking in daily posts and will catch up them between tonight and tomorrow, but I have already knocked myself out of the winner's circle for the month and it is only the 6th.
Will check in with you all later tonight. Hope everyone has been good!6 -
A pass day....despite a ridiculous amount of exercise (my usual Pilates and 30 mins exercise bike and TWO two hour walks, I managed to a little over calories tonight. I blame the wine! One glass and I suddenly feel like dessert after dinner. Hey ho, I enjoyed it.10

Success? Achieving something which is important to you? I was quite good at passing exams in my youth but I was more pleased when I completed my professional qualification when I was older. (A second career as an accountant which I started studying after my 40th birthday and finally got my letters after my name aged 53!)
I have been successful at losing weight (more than once) but that can be short-lived and anyway it's not easy to measure. Remember the comment a couple of days ago about managing what you measure?
Today is the second day I have deliberately not done cardio exercise. My step count both days has been less than 10,000. I don’t know that it proves anything yet but I feel good. I may be successful at breaking the cycle of exercising to eat, but early days yet.

Success? For this, just keeping on track, and getting up when I get knocked down. For life, I like the quote:
“To laugh often and much; To win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; To earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; To appreciate beauty, to find the best in others; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch, or a redeemed social condition; To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded.”

What’s good UAC fams?? Almost to the one week mark!!! Time flies when you’re focused!!
Exercise? Oh yea... was just gonna do a lil walk since yesterday put a load on the legs... but got caught in the groove and pushed out 3mi 🤗
Within calorie budget?? Yes! Only two meals on weekends usually... but always a giant breakfast!! And today was a FEAST. Loved every bite.
Log all food/dranks??? Mmhmm. It’s easy to log when you’re way under budget!!
@RangerRickL - success?? Idk... not giving up?? As long as you keep your 👁 on the 🏆 and keep moving... I’d say you’re finding some form of success.
I hope everyone has a great evening 🖤3 -

Exercise ✔️ LOTS of yard work!

Tracking ✔️
Forgot to check in yesterday, but it was a pass day anyway (my second for the month.) Last night I was feeling very disappointed in myself and almost decided to leave the UAC, maybe even delete MFP altogether. But I recognized this as a pattern: I have a tendency to feel that if I can't do something as well as I want to, I shouldn't do it at all. I can't even count the number of times I've added and deleted MFP.
So I decided that the important part of the UAC (for me, at least) is the A--being accountable to myself. I don't have to meet the challenge every day, just more days that not. Making it to the winner's circle in January was great, but it's not the point. Paying attention--rather than losing track of my goals (again)--is the important thing.16 -
Pass day #1 for Friday, I couldn't track my takeout
