This verse is one that I came upon just last year and I often quote it to myself. We have a void that needs filling. We always will in this life. I was a binge eater. I felt that emptiness and it was so strong, I would do anything to fill it. Consequently, I stuffed myself with carbs. I harmed myself rather than filling that hole. As human beings, we reach for a lot of things to fill that hole, but it's an endless exercise, because we were made for God and only his love will fulfill and satisfy us. He wants us to come to Him. He wants to demonstrate His love for us. Draw near to Him and be satisfied! Grace and peace, my friends!
