Do you think there is pressure to gain muscular size? For example, people used to more commonly say they wanted to be toned but not bulky but that seems out of vogue especially for men.
For me, it is more appealing to be lean and toned to the pint that some people may say skinny vs. trying to build big bulky muscles. It seems like this isn’t that common.
Just wondering what people think.

I don't really know in terms of what is popular since I workout at home and don't get to be in a gym with other fitness people...used to hit up the work gym sometimes before covid and it was always girls on the cardio machines and guys on the strength machines...very few guys doing cardio or girls doing strength, but it's a work gym so who knows what individual goals are and it's self-service so no guidance available like at a pay-to-join gym...no direction, just everyone doing their own thing with the equipment...
I would like to be more muscly...but I spent most of last year bulking and now I really need to trim down the fluff, so this year will be very cutting and slimming and just trying to maintain strength with very slow progress (if any) on the weights...maybe towards fall I can get back to growing muscle again...but I'm not bulky anyway, though I am frequently described as "sturdy", I'm a long ways from skinny...0
