    Morning~

Hope everyone enjoyed Saint Paddy's Day!

I managed to slide off my last call yesterday quite late - but did join my pals to raise a few pints and enjoy some Corned Beef and Broccoli. Sorry, cabbage and I just aren't on a first name basis

Busy day ahead (as they've all been)!

DW driving me to follow up doc appt this morning - so I can work at same time.

    Have a super day!

    Morning

Dentist was very rushed. Now, she has a dog in there with a “service vest” on. I don’t like it. I think it’s very unsanitary. Thoughts? And the dust.

Had 3 green beers. Didn’t sleep well and I feel like crap this am. I guess when you hit 50 you just can’t hang anymore. Ha.

The highlight of my St. Paddy's Day celebrating was sharing incredibly dumb Irish-themed jokes all week in my workshops. It's cute watching how much people light up with those! It probably reminds them of their dads.

My birthday celebrations have begun to pick up, too. Several gifts and cards came in yesterday, including flowers, a beautiful necklace with a meaningful message (almost made me cry!), and a solar light for our new deck that will be built in April. As for age, that's never bothered me in the least. I'm PROUD to be almost 50! So far, in my life, every decade I've lived has been better than the one before. I have no reason to believe that will change. I am so much happier today than I've ever been ... I wouldn't go back to 29 for anything. I didn't even know what I didn't know then. Today I'm more content, more confident, more balanced and grounded and my priorities are in better order. My faith is deeper and my mind is more open. I like me more. My boundaries are healthier. I have better, closer friends. I am passionate and happy. One of my goals is to demonstrate tangibly to my own children and grandchildren that age is GOOD. That age does not equal irrelevance. That age is something to embrace, not to fear. Our society glorifies youth only, but I want to live the truth that EVERY stage of life is beautiful and powerful and valuable and infinitely desirable.

Lee, as of today I've been a WW member for 15 years. I think I've known you for about 12 of those! I found the message boards on WW 2 weeks after I joined, and I loved them. I started on the Newbies board, and found a group of 8 women about my age and in a similar stage of life, and we formed an email accountability group. We messaged each other our trackers and our activity and our lives every day for well over a year, and that was such a huge help for me! It was a little while after that that I found BBB, and later GOAD. You all have been a huge part of my journey! I am so grateful for you.

I'm so glad you're planning a date night, Skip! After all the work you've been doing, that sounds heavenly. Focus on your sweet wife and enjoy the night!

I hope you had fun with the girls last night, Kelly!

YAY for your vaccinations, Dave!!! Woo-hooooooo!!!!

Mary, your Irish proverb made me giggle!

Dennis, didn't you know that Doritos are point-free? Yep. You heard it here first! (they're also freakishly addictive ... I've been known to literally make myself sick on them. Ugh.)

Todd, a big race is a great way to celebrate! So inspiring! I kind of loathe exercise, so I'll be sticking to opening gifts and cards and hanging out with friends online (I'm pretty sure my hubby has something planned), but I'm cheering for you!

Mary, that's so sweet about the kids! They LOVE you! (of course they do!)

    Mornin' BBB.

"You all have been a huge part of my journey! I am so grateful for you." Ditto kiddo.

    Doritos are so addictive.

Kelly, if its just general dentistry, I do not see a problem with having a dog in the office, service dog or not. Don't you sleep with your dogs?

    Good morning BBB crew.

    Loving Larry.

I expect dental treatment rooms to be meticulously clean and sterile. If the place is dusty, I'd look for a new dentist. Speaking of which, I have my cleaning and check-up this morning.

I felt dragged through the wringer yesterday, after COVID shot No. 2. Bad enough that I blew off a Zoom meeting last night. I feel fine, now, while DW now has a slight fever. All worth it, though.

@kgmoody - We have a friend that my wife walks with a lot. She is a dentist and brings her dog to work. Most of her customers love him and are put at ease by his presence.

    - Raine what a cute dog! We are almost grandoggys. My daughter in Portland is in the process of adopting a German Shephard mix. He is really cute. We will see him in a month or so. Our last dog was a GSD and we celebrated his birthday on St. Patrick's Day, so his facebook showed up yesterday in my feed. I really miss the old boy.

@DavidKuhnsSr - I got my first shot yesterday. I figured it was in my arm so I would be good to go with a lower body workout - heavy squats, deadlifts and leg presses. My wife wanted to go for a walk later in the day, so we did that. My legs were so sore that I could barely walk and actually lost sleep. I was quite surprised, since it really wasn't any more than I had done in the past. Then my wife pointed out that general muscle soreness can be a side effect with the jab, so I wonder? I'm fine now, but when I go for #2, I think I'll just plan that as a lay about day.

    Good Morning,
Sun is starting to shine through clouds, 70's today then cooler for a couple of days.
    Emmaus breakfast this morning,
Need to prepare for lesson I'm leading Sunday
    Behind on yoga training
For some reason 50 sounds so young to me, yet as a child I thought 30 was really old

    Good morning BBB Friends.
    • I was advised to not schedule anything for the day after my 2nd shot. For me it was very good advise. Glad you are feeling better today Dave. And yes, it was worth it. Glad you are getting vaccinated Todd, especially if you have travel planned.
    • Larry is one cute dog.
    • Doritos are definitely addictive. I wish the DW wouldn't bring them in the house. The only way I can survive a Dorito attack is with single serving bags.
    • Steph, did you make any changes with LastPass due to their changes in policy? I switched to Bitwarden and so far I'm pleased.
    • Lisa, your WW anniversary made me go look for my original LT book. I'm coming up on 28 years at LT.

    Evening BBB

I learned something new here. Charles aka Dennis. Congrats to yous both  and to Lisa too on the WW long hauls

Lisa, I'm like you. Each year in my adult life is better than the last. No drama, no emotional baggage. Just Peace. Love. Good friends and family. And its time we can open up the bubble and start hanging out again.

2 goods things happened today, well probably more that just 2...but 2 especially good things. The first was I got a confirmed appt for a vaccine, next Wed.
Second, my favorite nephew and his beautiful dw delivered a healthy baby boy today. Mom and baby are great. The baby's name was kept quiet. He's named after his daddy, a jr. Andrew Jonathan (AJ,) they'll nickname him. Pops goes by Drew. Big sister Ariana (2yr. In May) is excited. The 3 of them are all in DS2s wedding!
I'm going to Costco tomorrow and make them some food for next week. Asian ground chicken lettuce wraps. Costco rotisserie chickens:1 used in Costco Ceasar salad they can do for a lunch. Some I'll make chicken enchiladas with. Some I'll use in a easy quick chicken noddle soup. Then also egg, spinch, cheese, muffin cups. Some oatmeal fresh cranberry muffins. Grab a bag of Halos, some other produce for easy eating.

Tom wants to take a day trip to the lake on Sat. We need to get a plan for excavation work we are having done in April. They want us to flag out the driveway and rv pad being put in. And spray paint the tree stumps for removal and 2 trees.... we won't stay the night, water is still off and we're not setup yet, All the clean bedding and towels. Etc are here at home. And I'm not dragging all that there Sat. just need to wait. Could get cold yet so he doesn't want water on til after the first of April.

My neighbors are transplants. So both sets of grandparents are out of town. I try to be here for the young couple. With my ds1 going out of state for college and work the last 15yrs so many of his local buddies parents always watched out for him.Had him over for holidays if he didn't come home....I'm paying it forward, plus their good *kitten* and we like eachother. The 2 littles remind me of my 2 boys that age.4 and 5yrs.

Oh... Tom and I are gonna be Dog Grandparents. Maddie will have a cousin. In 2 weeks. His newly married (in Oct,) DD and DSonIL have purchased a puppy. An English Golden Retriever from a reputable breeder in Northern Wisconsin. Up north, as Raine would Say! His name is Oakley. He comes home in 2 weeks. He's adorable!

As is Larry! Does he have the potty outside down yet Raine? I love seeing you post about him! Has he been in the pool?

Ok, I've bored u rattling on. Tom's snoozing in his chair lol. So I'm talking here instead. Instead of to myself.

    Have a wonderful evening oxoxox

We went ahead and paid for the lastpass family plan. Ron took care of it all for me...I just had to click accept.
