Pass day. I went camping last weekend then straight into a 7 day work week, covering my friendโs duties as well as my own so she could go away for her birthday and it was one crisis after another so today was totally rest day! Iโm only working two of the next 21 days so I get a break myself. Went out for breakfast with my man then spent the day watching TV with him. Calories are good but no exercise at all!!! The rain didnโt even encourage a walk at any point. Oh well, first pass day and Iโm all rested up.8

@Dory_42 that always upsets me when people who don't know the entire story assume that animals would be better off in different situations. And it's not like those same people would care for mr Smeagal full time anyway. I am so proud of you and your colleagues and all the work you do with animals caring for them.

About yesterday, I took a break from cooking, so 70% were not healthy choices, but I'm happy to say, with exercising, I ate like a maintenance day with only 55 calories to spare. I'll try to have all my passes in similar manners to train my body for future maintenance.
As for today, I woke up not feeling very well, so exercised at minimum and because I didn't cook today as well, bad food choices. Hopefully with the good rest I had today, I'll be back on track tomorrow.

I've been looking out photos today, making copies to take to the funeral. My son and DIL chose a cardboard coffin and she has been decorating it (with help from friends and the children). She wants us to take photos along, and write out poems or just a few words to attach as well. The coffin will be taken through the village to the the cemetery so that friends can pay respects from the roadside. Our Covid rules mean that the funeral service is restricted to 30 people and no wake is allowed. He was well liked and respected although they only lived there a few years so many people wish to witness the procession.

@SummerSkier my knee is better. I haven't worn the knee brace yesterday or today and it hasn't "popped" once! (I didn't wear yesterday because it didn't go with my Easter outfit, and today I forgot to put it on!) Thanks so much for asking!
@Dory_42 Smeagol is just adorable! People usually have no idea what they're talking about - they just have to complain! I think it's wonderful that you have a job that allows you to HELP animals just like him! I've sure missed you and your stories!!

My Apple Watch goal for April is 62 minutes of exercise a day. Today my walk and run took me 44 minutes, and classes are 45-50 minutes, so I guess I need to add some mileage and extra workout sessions to make it to that goal this month. Hm. Perhaps yoga. I need to learn to like yoga and stretching.
