Hey everyone, I am going to be moving to the Gilbert area on Sept 5th and was wondering if anyone had recommendations for gyms, yoga studios, personal training, etc in the area.
I do already have membership at Val Vista Lakes, but they don't offer personal training or yoga, which are the two things i really wanted :P
anyways, if you want, add me! I'm a 24 year old female 5'2" who plays far too many video games. Also looking for friends to make for cosplay at phx comicon June 5th!!!

Hey there welcome to the east side!
I live in Gilbert as well and they have a great recreation center off Guadalupe and Lindsay-ish called the Freestone Recreation Center. I think it's about 20 bucks a month for residents. There is also a FitnessWorks on Higley and baseline that I went to for a while and really liked their classes and their cardio machines have cable TV. I think that one is $25 a month but it can get a little busy though. I'm a cheepskate and pay the $10 a month to go to YouFit off of Mesa and Guadalupe. They just have weightlifting and carido equipment though (no classes) but it fits for me since I mostly just use their weights or if the weather is bad or need a running break then their cardio equipment. It's also rarely super busy so I feel like I can get a good work out in without waiting on someone or holding someone up.
The canals in Gilbert are great for outside exercise but they don't have lights0 -
I got a Groupon for Impact Boot Camp in Chandler, AZ. It's on Kyrene and Chandler Blvd... I love it! 20 bucks for 10 sessions, and I'm thinking about actually getting a membership. Definitely check it out.

As cliche as it is, I honestly really love Kona Grill for sushi (at Chandler mall).
I've never been to a "korean" restaurant I don't think, but I like chinese food. :P There's a really good place on Gilbert just south of Williamsfield, near the Fry's. It's a small place facing west onto Gilbert RD.0 -
Kona is fine of course was just looking for something a little better if possible. one of the bad things ive noticed about the Phoenix area is the lack of good seafood. i was shocked that Phoenix Magazine had Red Lobster listed as best seafood restaurant. lol0

I totally agree, haha. I loooove seafood and wish there were better choices. I really liked Joe's Crab Shack, but it's kind of pricey, so I don't get to go often.
Oh oh oh. I have heard spectacular things about Bluewater Grill in Phoenix. Supposed to be one of the best seafood restaurants in the valley. Might be worth the drive- I hope to try it soon.0 -
ill check it out. thanks.0
