Wow! Really good to see the groups' motivations.
    @goonies73 fantastic loss!

@ewilhelm2487 ouch! Hope you can get sorted soon. I'm hoping none of mibe infected, I've had 3 teeth chip & repeated break during lockdown. All they've been able to do is temporary filings- I gave up as they fall out! I've got some sharp bits I need sorting. Hopefully they can fix me this month! This darn virus!!

Wow @goonies73 GREAT loss! Do you mind sharing some specifics on what plan you're following to achieve almost six pounds in a week? That's incredible and I'd love some insight/pointers I may be able to incorporate to see those kind of results too.

    Friday weigh-in

Yesterday, I had a sizeable lunch and only had about 400 calories left for dinner to keep the cushion that I'm trying to have each day and not use exercise calories. I wanted to eat out and just say "forget the day" but I didn't. Had a tuna sandwich, a small bag of sun chips and a half cup of no sugar added peaches. A great NSV (non-scale victory) if I do say so myself!

Hope ya'll have an amazing Friday...it's my last official day of vacation so I have much relaxing to do. I promise to take that task QUITE seriously!

Well this was a confusing surprise. I am getting closer to my goal so this week I actually added an extra 100 calories per day to still stay in a calorie deficit but slow the weight loss down and begin to get a feel for what maintenance might be like. Because the scale can fluctuate, I’ve also been watching my moving average weight using the app Happy Scale and that number was 137.0 which is likely a better indicator. Either way, it’s a loss and I’ll take it and celebrate it! We all know we get surprises the other way too.

    Have a great Friday!!

Happy first week of May! Glad it’s over lol. April turned out great weight-loss wise, I have been really strict with what I’m eating. Nothing about this has been remotely easy or enjoyable but I’m getting it done. End of April marked the third month of my journey and I'm 1.5 lbs away from my first goal of 220 lbs which is my upper limit weight for riding my horses.

Accounting for micro and macro progress, I’m continuing to steadily improve. My medical weight loss diet was thrown out last week after following Dr. Ekberg’s Youtube series on clean keto and intermittent fasting. It’s not that different from how I was eating before, just more fat and less protein, less meals (2 meals per day), same total calories, a lot more veggies, and no fruit (before I had one serving of fruit per day). I have struggled with insulin resistance and maintaining stable blood sugar levels as well as caffeine addiction, sluggish adrenals, low energy, and crashing fatigue. I’m sure Candida overgrowth was part of the mix. I just feel awful most of the time, tired, and unable to get things done (before and during the dieting process). Intermittent fasting and eliminating as much insulin response as possible seems to be helping. I’ve always been very against intermittent fasting because of how hungry I get and proclivity towards binge eating. Without sugar and starch in my diet it seems to be manageable but I’m still very hungry in the morning. Will have to keep trying and see if it gets better.

This month I’m really focusing on nutrients, particularly where I’m falling short. My multivitamin is the Seeking Health Optimal Mulitvitamin which is truly a fantastic vitamin. However, there are legalities around potassium (since too much can kill you) and potassium supplements are limited to small amounts and you need 3500 - 4700 mg of potassium per day. I’ve found that I am consistently 1000 mg short and that’s probably why I feel like garbage all the time. I added a magnesium supplement before bed. Just eating more spinach, avocados, and salmon is helping. I’m also consistently very under on iron, sodium, and a little under on calcium. My vitamins I’m killing it - especially some of the harder ones like Vitamin K, D, C, A, the spectrum of B vitamins, and folate. Luckily light salts like NuSalt and similar are made from potassium chloride rather than sodium chloride, and some of them are a mix of both. I’m going to start using pink sea salt and potassium chloride as well as continuing to make dietary changes to add more potassium. Otherwise I might have to bite the bullet and order a blood composition test to see what I need to add to beat the fatigue and overall muscle soreness.

    Well done.
    Love the pic @jessicakrall8 😍
I had awful day on Thurs, felt like 💩 so didn't go to gym.
Went after work today, out of guilt, but was well worth it. Hit the punch bag a lot (good after rotren afternoon) & burned 313 cals. So not too bad

@jessicakrall8 I'm sorry my timing doesn't work for you. I pretty much always do my Friday weigh-in before bed. I didn't think I was late as long as it was done during my designated weigh-in day.

If it would better suit your purposes, feel free to consider my Friday weigh-in as a Saturday one, so it will be early rather than late.

Good morning @Aqualang26 , no problem at all...I just try to send out my reminders before I head off to bed and as you can see, I sent it right before 8pm last night. I understand busy schedules for sure...please don't be offended. There were quite a few from earlier in the week that were missing, so I did one message for the week, covering everyone. My poor Saturday crew get caught in my weekly Saturday messages too...just trying to keep everyone on schedule...not an easy task. Enjoy your weekend and great loss this week! Keep up the great work!

Hope everyone is having a lovely Saturday! It's a little on the cool side here in coastal Virginia, but it's bright and sunny. I'm keeping busy with little tasks around the house and getting ready to head to the grocery store.

Found this graphic and wanted to share it...lilacs are my favorite flower. Such wonderful memories of picking them from our lilac bush in my backyard as I was growing up to surprise my mom. She loved them too! Hope you're all planning something terrific for your Mother tomorrow! Cherish them while they're here, as they leave us too soon...

To all the Moms here and in heaven...have a wonderful Mother's Day tomorrow! Stay safe and well!

I just can't lose I have no idea what the hell I'm doing wrong 😭

Plateaus are weird things...it's as if the body doesn't want to let go of the fat or something?! At some point science has to win out...don't give up, but sometimes it does help to do something unexpected...something the body can't predict...drink extra water, shake up your exercise routine, etc...

Stay the course!!! It HAS to come off!!
    You got this @ewilhelm2487 !!

It's Saturday night and I'm headed to go and read a good mystery. There are three people from the week that still need to post their weigh ins and two of you had an NWI for last week. Don't risk removal...report in...if it's a rough week, we've all been there...shake it off and get motivated to do better...if it was an unexpected/unexplained week, then shake something in your routine up and watch for results that way. Either way, you got this!

Hope you have a wonderful rest of your weekend!

I just can't lose I have no idea what the hell I'm doing wrong 😭

That's been me for months & months.
What made a difference for me was:
Disengaging fitness tracker from MFP so I could only see cals to eat not exercise ones,
Higher protein & serious effort to drop processed carbs esp sugar- even if cals allowed it (although I do have some now),
Trying to time restricted eating- I know some ppl go really strict on this but I had breakfast at 7am & aimed for last meal at 7pm- so it wasn't too strict.
I was told a 500cal deficit needed every day for 1lb/a week. That didn't work for me so I dropped my cals to the lowest MFP let me for 2lb a week and walked/did on-line (now back at gym) every day. That earned me 3lb loss on a good a week. I've not had the best week but still lost 1lb. When I've gained I expected it.
Not saying this will be your answer but this is what's helped me- lost 1/2 stone now.
