I'm at 12/50. Even though I set a low goal in expectation of a crazy month, I'm struggling to keep up. I'm in the city helping kids move (again) on top of this being the busiest time of year for my volunteer job. Plus, I just booked a trip of a lifetime for my husband - fly fishing in Alaska. I figure he deserves it after the terrible year we've been through. Busy, busy, busy and logging lots of steps but very few miles. Yesterday I had almost 20,000 steps, but I only added 2 miles toward my goal. I only count my miles when I make a purposeful choice of not driving somewhere, not just the steps that come from walking around the house. So that's my story.
Hope you are all doing well!1 -

Welcome back @taxmom9093.
Hope the fishing is going well @darkrider42.
Janet … you both bring awesomeness to this group
My grandson didn’t have COVID, as we were sure. But the poor little lamb has been poorly.the good news is that he is on the mend.
My good news is that my ankle injury is sufficiently healed for me to start a C25K. Tonight I was involved in starting a return to running group at my running group (my only chance of having anyone to run with LOL)1 -

@k80flec - great news about the ankle, and about your grandson!
@leanz - I share your sentiment about this trip - did I just say that? I have to be careful not to whine and spoil it for him.1 -

18*1/2 out of 65
I got almost no steps in on Saturday. I was on the road by 9 to see my dad, the drive is all rural. It's a 2-1/2 to 3 hour trip that took me roughly 3-1/2 to drive there and over 4 to get home which didn't happen until 8:30. It's usually around 5 hours there and back. Traffic was completely ridiculous.
I've lived in the country my entire life so I'm used to seeing tractors out on the road from one gravel to the next -- but never like this. You don't know how much farmers do until you are stuck behind one with an implement going 25mph for 3 miles, they turn off and you run into another one maybe two miles down the road. Sunday I honestly slept most of the day.
Have a great week!0 -
