I thought it would be helpful to our group if we added this thread to introduce ourselves and share anything that we would like.

I’m scott, I live in Tampa and I’m bisexual
My goal is to get down to between 160-170 which should be pretty lean for me. I am always open to friend requests. I would like this group to provide a safe place to share and support each other and have fun with it.

    I came just shy of reaching my goal weight a few years ago but with Covid and my love of eating, I'm almost back to where I started and trying again.
    I'm on here most every day and I love seeing everyone's accomplishments and cheering for them!! I can just be kinda shy when it comes to reaching out (sorry! *hands over eyes*).

    Good afternoon! Sigh. I've been doing this for a while, it feels like. I was doing well, then something happened in my family that threw everything into spin-mode, and now three years later I'm doing everything I can, but nothing seems to be working. I'm considering, at this point, weight-loss-surgery. After doing a veritable *kitten*-ton of research, it seems incredibly hard to go through, but it also does something to your metabolism that I feel like is what I need?

    Anyway, who knows what's going to happen, right? In the meantime I'm working my *kitten* off while away from home for work and I didn't come here to write a book but I've been away from home for like 2 weeks and it gets lonely and people!

    Hi! Feel free to add me! I could use new friends. How do you even make friends as an adult? Get together while you're out paying bills?

    Hey everyone 👋🏼

    I’m 28, 6’1, currently 75% to my first weight lost goal (losing 80lbs). I’ve lived in Texas for over a year (RGV area), have a wonderful fiancé, and I’m a lesbian. I’m optimistic, bubbly, and always been told it’s easy to tell me anything. I’ve always wanted to be healthier, and what really pushed me towards it faster was when I got hospitalized for a pulmonary embolism, which is a blood clot in your lung. It can vary but luckily mine is really small. So with having a PE I have to slowly build my endurance and have been keeping a single-portion , low/sugar free low sodium, and no trans fat diet.

    If anyone wants to add me I’m always down making friends, and buddies I can motivate/support through this weight loss journey.

    Hi, I'm Shannon. I'm lesbian, and I'm considered morbidly obese for my age group(30s). I'm looking to make friends, and also for support on my journey in losing weight. Also, might I add, I'm a furry.

    I'm glad there's a group on here that I can feel safe and be myself, and not feel so awkward and out of place.

    Hi everyone, I'm Laurence and mostly active on the Dutch forums.

    I want to become more fit and get more muscle. Now I do boxing, running (5km or 10km once a month) and a bit of strength mixed with a few cardio exercises every week. But I should probably do more strength training... Just can't be bothered to go myself, so I join classes at the gym.

    Hello, I'm Dory, like the fish. I'm 31 transmasc/andro/gender fluid. I live in the PNW with my wife (who's also trans) and our two kids who are 12 and 7. We also have two cats that have FeLV and a leopard gecko.

    I like weight lifting, swimming, going for walks. I mostly try to stick to a modified Paleo/keto diet, and incorporate primal living into my life as much as possible. Add me!

    Welcome zenith!! I totally agree with the support. Just know, once you start tracking your calories and macros you'll be so surprised at how fast it accumulates. I was in shocked 🤦🏻‍♂️😂

    This is my second go at losing weight, I've been overweight/obese since I was a little kid and I got really close to getting back in the overweight BMI category and then I fell off the wagon. I'm at my highest weight ever but I've come to terms with doing this all much more slowly in order to try and make a real lifestyle change.

    Hello everybody! I'm Shannon (she/her). I'm a couple years into HRT/GAHT. I joined MFP to help me keep track of food and exercise. I would love to lose about 20 lbs that I gained after a knee injury so I can get back to backpacking without worrying about my blasted knee😊.

    I'm new to MFP and still trying to figure it out. I think I've got the food and exercise logging down. I hope to learn about strengthening ligaments and tendons (if possible) through diet and exercise and strengthening by bottom half. I'm also interested in how nutrution and exercise can benefit and work in tandem with HRT/GAHT, and of course meeting new friends😃.

    Hi. I am Tim (he/him). I am from Texas but retired to the Philippines back in 2013 (at 48). Love it here, but put on some weight by no longer working (did HVAC work in the old country). I was overweight in the US, but got bigger when I retired.

    I lost 22 kilos back in 2016 and my wife complained about it?! I maintained the weight loss (for the most part) until the covid lockdown wiped me out. My highest weight before was 115 kilos, since covid - I got to 119... so here I go again.

    I spent 6 months living at Boracay beach last year, that helped me walk a lot (but there was a LOT of 2 for 1 rum). Most of the weight I put on has been in the 6 months since I got back to the city. Our lockdowns have been very restrictive.

    I am trying to get back to the 90 kilos I went to in 2016/2017. I am not a fan of exercise (obviously) so mostly I lose weight by portion control. Snacks are my downfall. And rum. I did a lot of walking before and need to get back into the habit. I live right next to the Iloilo river, and the big esplanade walkway. There is no excuse except laziness, and I like my aircon in the office, and rum ha ha. B)

    Hey! I'm Willbur. I live in texas, and i'm transmasc and bi. I'm trying to lose as much weight as I can (my goal is 45 kg or so), but my mom and I both have lipedema. I'm not that far into it stage-wise, so i should be able to fight some of the effects and lose some of my weight, but it kinda hurts to know i probably won't reach my goal without surgery. maybe one day I'll be able to afford it, but not rn

    Hi all! I'm Spencer (they/them), I'm just starting exercising properly and eating better and watching my kilojoules. I am swimming laps every second day at the moment and doing squats, pushups and situps on the off days. Ideally I want to lose 27kg (2 already gone!). I'm 29yo and live in NSW Australia.
