Good morning
Seems as if my fil is getting ready to die pretty soon. He’s almost 87. Getting worse by the day. My mil is no help to him because of her health. They still live alone which they shouldn’t!!
Busy week and it’s hot here today. Heat index 103. Then rain. Ugh.

I returned home to a friends message that his DW passed away (battling Lupus for several years). Going to go spend some time with him over the weekend and help him out.
Today is a federal holiday - so I have some extra time to unwind and get things back in order.
MAYBE some pool time later.

Hey Kelly! Sorry about your FIL. Lots of elders in that position, but you can't talk them into assisted living. Prayers for you and them.
Burned over 5500 calories yesterday between dog training and walking the beaches at the mouth of the mighty Housatonic river with a fly rod looking for fishes. Sadly did not find any fishes to play with. Saw lots of frisky horseshoe crabs.
Congrats to your friend's one year of sobriety, Lisa. I have a niece that appears to have become an alcoholic and we are all worried that her world is going to fall apart sometime soon. She just brushes us off whenever the subject of AA is approached.
Congrats to the new Georgia Boys State Governor Aditya...

Morning BBB
Lots of fun meet ups with friends in Omaha. It was nice to space them all out over the week so I actually got to visit with everyone.
Today my sister and 18yo niece are coming up so we can dorm room shop. Then sister and husband are staying the night before heading to Kansas city tomorrow.
We wrap up this sit on Saturday night and will head to my dad's for a few days. Next sit is in Sugarland Texas then we are still searching for July11-aug 11. Leading contender is Puerto Penasco Mexico.1 -

Your niece will have to hit bottom before she can climb back up, Lee. Where that bottom is, is different for each. Sometimes, it is tragically low.
Had a great hike, yesterday - 16 miles, with 3,080 feet of climbing. I felt very fit - much better than the last time I did that hike, last year. Rita surprised me by baking me a batch of her incredible lemon bars. I took some to enjoy with my lunch. Sitting in warm sun, next to a pretty little lake, munching a lemon bar dessert; it doesn't get any better, for me.

DS has torn tendon connecting bicep to elbow; surgery scheduled July 1st after we get back from FL.
DGS got brace on leg where he does not have to use crutches

Big storm hard rains last night, need rain but not like that. All is well this a.m.and its beautiful day. I'm off to go do some outdoor rock painting in the garden at our library.
