Good Morning!
Back to work today. Whew!
Yesterday, I finished the front flower bed for Connie. Wow! We hauled out at least 15 wheel barrow loads of old lava rock. Then I spent a couple of hours leveling the dirt. Then we put down 49 bags of pond pebble rock. I can barely move today! I am glad that project is finished. As far as I know now, I am done with all of Connie's special projects. I'm not too worried, however, I think that she will come up with something that is not on my radar, soon.
We are supposed to get storms today and tomorrow. We really need the rain.

Good morning gentlemen.
Lots of warnings about the extreme heat forecast for this weekend. We could get as high as 107 in Tumwater. That would be an all-time record by six degrees. I saw a forecast for Portland, down Bob's way, of 112! Those are Arizona numbers, not Pacific Northwest, on the wet side of the mountains. Up this way, only about 1/3 of homes have AC, too. Glad we are in that minority.
Messed around in the shop rough-turning a two-piece vase, yesterday. I am experimenting with ways to keep the very wet wood from cracking as it dries. The heat will speed those experiments. It's like having a wood kiln out in the shop.0 -
Mornin' gents.
That is crazy hot, Dave. Glad you got AC. The nice thing about AC, even in cooler times, is that is also dehumidifies.
I have an evil gremlin sleeping in my lap. I must not move my right arm or she might wake up.
She has really turn our household upside down. Funny how such a wee thing can do that.
DW is starting to lose patience.
Steve, buddy, that sounds like a lot of work. Yeesh. Makes me tired just reading about it.

Steve, glad I'm not on the rock pile chain-gang out there. Sounds like a torture test for arthritic joints.
Lee, that little pup can't be what you're talking about... it's much too cute.
Dave, your heat sounds outrageous. Hope it comes and goes quick. DS is flying to Portland today to visit old friends there. His liver will be fried if he doesn't stay hydrated... Hopefully they have AC. I drove him to the train early this morning while it was only 50º here.
Have a good day...0
