Does anyone plan to stay on Keto indefinitely? Or do you plan to switch to Paleo once you reached your goals? Have another plan? Undecided? I'm curious, let me know.

    I haven't decided yet.

Options I've considered are Primal (not paleo - I loves me some dairy).
I've also considered keto during the week, with unrestricted weekends.

I thought this was a great reference:

According to this, optimal carb levels for maintenance is 100 - 150 g per day. So that would still be restricted, but not anywhere near keto levels and probably wouldn't be maintaining ketosis.

Yeah I was thinking primal for myself too. Thanks for the link, I wonder if the switch would cause weight gain? I guess you would increase carbs slowly?

The switch will absolutely result in weight gain - water weight though.
Every gram of glycogen in your body acts as a little sponge, and holds onto 3-4 grams of water. Increasing carbs inevitably results in water weight gain. But it's not FAT gain.

If you want your end weight to be a certain number WITH a higher carb level, then probably need to target your low carb weight loss to be a lower target, to allow for the inevitable water weight gain. And don't stress it when the water weight comes in. Water weight is not fat!

    Hope that made sense.

It makes sense, thanks for replying :) How I look & feel is more important than the scale numbers in the end.
