Hi everyone!
I’m once again trying to do something about the weight I’ve gained since being diagnosed with chronic migraine. Since June 2017 when my migraine became my constant companion (yes, constant zero days pain free) I went from 180 to almost 250 in 2019. Since 2019, I went off one med which helped me bring my weight down to 220-225 where it has stayed pretty consistently since. I’ll be 42 in August and this disease has already taken too much.
Exercise is one of my triggers that makes my pain levels go up so I’ve avoided it but I just can’t go on like this. So, increased pain or not I’m trying to get back into some sort of shape besides round. 😉
Right now I can manage about 11 minutes at level 1 or 2 on an elliptical before my legs start threatening to buckle…but I’m trying. And trying to ignore the looks at the gym when I’m on and off in such a short time. I had planned on doing rowing since it works almost everything but the erg is down at my gym for the moment so the elliptical seemed the best joint friendly equipment to use.

Good luck! Exercise is hard with chronic pain but if you can get your strength up it will help.0
