Good morning gentlemen.
The podiatry appointment was unremarkable. The lump, he says is a plantar fibroma, which was my diagnosis. These are benign, but don't go away. I probably irritated it by taking a hard step on a sharp rock, or something, leading to the inflammation and pain. It doesn't hurt now, and I don't need to take any special precautions, other than to use shoes that protect it. I already do that.
There is a chance of showers, this afternoon. If that happens, it will be our first rain since the first week in June. Forecast is for a return to near 100 degrees bay Thursday, so any rain today won't do much to help the fire situation.

Good Morning!
Dave that is good news about your foot! I have a lump on each instep. Sometimes they hurt, and sometimes not. My corrective exercise specialist says that this is where excess lactic acid builds up in the foot from too much strain on the foot while exercising. She taught me how to gently rub them out with a flat object like a butter knife, or letter opener. That helps.
Taking Frankie the dog to the vet this morning to have her blood work looked at again. When we took her a month ago, she showed high enzymes, and the doc wants to look again to see if it was a fluke, or something to address as Frankie is over 7 years old.
My fatigue hit me hard again yesterday, and I went to bed at 7:30 last night. I am tired, but doing better this morning.
Hot and humid in Kansas City!
Have a great day!

Morning,
Back to 90's today
Through the years learned that exercise or energetic activities helps do away with fatigue
Glad foot is better Dave,
All work and no play makes Lee a dull person, plus girls are missing you
Hope Heather is getting better0 -
Yeah yesterday at our house we had maybe a few dozen drops of what I call "hairspray mist" that almost made it to light drizzle for 5 minutes yesterday and then stopped. NOT measurable and one could waste time arguing that it was a trace. The coast range of Oregon did have some rain (maybe 0.3 inches and Astoria on the coast had about 1/4". PDX airport had 0.05"
Glad your foot feels better Dave. I was thinking of appropriate insoles or maybe even a hole cut out or thinned in the problem area of the insole kind of thing.
Sorry about the fatigue Steve. Hang in there.
Yup it is suppose to be at or above 100 degrees in PDX Starting Wed or Thur thru about Sunday. I just planted some "fall lettuce" which I will need to place some shade over. I think of it as more late summer into fall lettuce. Last year some lasted practically the whole mild-ish winter.0 -
Good Morning
I am glad to hear the good report on your foot Dave and that many happy trails still lay in front of you.
My latest little flare up seems to be easing this morning for which I am thankful. Lots of tools to use to fight back but this one had me a bit worried. Not much on the schedule except a quick trip back to the Pre-School to rearrange a few things before the carpets are cleaned. I am thankful that the guy who does the janitorial came by. She has known him in 3 different schools over 20 years. He refused to let her move anything by herself. There was little to do when I got there. But she was hurting none the less. She is rather fed up being left alone to handle the room due to the Covid outbreak. If she is feeling better I shall talk her into a walk by the Bay somewhere.0 -
Afternoon gents.
Sam...the dogs need to eat. I will play with them later.
Great news on the plantar fibroma, I think.
Fingers crossed for Frankie.
Bob, kinda like a donut for hemorrhoids? But for the bump on the instep?
Glad you are feeling better, Bill.

The podiatrist had me try out some cushions under the ball of my foot, with the idea being it would take pressure off my instep. Not good. Really uncomfortable. I too, have been thinking of getting a really accurate position on the insole of my shoe and just cutting out a little hole - maybe .5-.75 inch. I'd try it with cheap insoles before mutilating my $53 Superfeet insoles.0
