I'll begin with one from my current read that gave me the idea of starting this thread. In THE MOONLIGHT SCHOOL by Suzanne Woods Fisher, one of the character asks, "If it's not wrong, does that make it right?"
Have you ever experienced this or struggled with the concept personally? Maybe you've noticed it play out a lot in the business world. Just something that got me thinking as I read it last night.0 -
Great idea, Carole. And thanks for the book review section.0

Thanks, Connie. I love being able to read what I want to read without worrying about blog reviews, tour deadlines, etc. I don't review every book I read, although I try to leave a star rating on Goodreads. But when I do write a review, it's short - more like a few random thoughts.0

Here is one I liked from a book I read a few weeks ago. Chasing Shadows by Lynn Austin.
"How can God remain silent and do nothing in the face of all this evil?" she asked.
"He isn't silent as long as we're His voice and His hands."0 -
From THE WATER KEEPER by Charles Martin:
We don’t love because people love us back. We love because we can. Because we were made to. Because it’s all we have. Because, at the end of the day, evil can take everything save one thing: your love. And when you come to realize that, that the only thing you really control in this life is your love, you’ll see, maybe for the first time, that we’re all just lost.’1 -
Quote from "Love the Lord Your God with all your heart (The Cooper Family Book 1)" by Anne Perreault
"She felt something surge through her. What was it? There was an absence of a heavy weight inside her. Where was the back breaking fear she always carried around? Her hand fluttered to her stomach. It was gone! There was something else in its stead! Was it... could it possibly be? Peace."
Quote from "Love the Lord Your God with all your heart (The Cooper Family Book 1)" by Anne Perreault
"It was that she had this intense feeling that someone higher than her, bigger than her, was watching out for her. For the first time in her life, that peace enveloped her whole body."

"[Forgiveness] is so much less exhausting. You only have to forgive once. To resent, you have to do it all day, every day. You have to keep remembering all the bad things.... we always have a choice. All of us."
-- THE LIGHT BETWEEN OCEANS by M. L. Stedman
This is a general fiction book, but it's clean and has some spiritual gems. A haunting, epic tale about an Australian couple, lighthouse keepers, who fail to report their stormy rescue of a baby girl and decide to raise her as their own.1 -
How true are these two quotes from THE ISLAND OF HEAVENLY DAZE by Lori Copeland & Angela Hunt!
"The balm of forgiveness heals many a wound."
"What we see as trial, God often intends as blessing. But we need to adjust our perspective to see the truth."0
