It's cooler here again today. Last night I wore a heavy cardigan and scarf inside the house. My hands wouldn't warm up. Tonight it will be even colder. Summer is coming so I am still enjoying the cool even so.

Susan, I am glad you are enjoying the cooler temps, I would think you will need to turn the Heat on to stay warm.
For us Temps were lower but still warm at 77 degrees here..Tonight the temps will dip to 59 degrees…

ThThanks, Linda. It is cold enough to use the heater but we just tend to put on more clothes instead and sit under small blankets. I'm not sure why mu Wordle game posted yesterday instead of the weather?? That's confusing. I'll try to post the right thing today.

Thank you Susan for sharing the Weather Reports of what is happening in your community. Sorry you are getting so much Rain and cooler temps.
For us today it was mostly cloudy 🌥️ and the High today was 73 degrees Fahrenheit with lows of 58 degrees.
Forecast says to Expect Higher temps tomorrow in the 80’s.
Long Range says:
Tuesday- 83 degrees Fahrenheit
Wednesday- 88 degrees Fahrenheit
So guess we will have to wait and see if the Long Range forecast is true.

It's fine about the rain, Judith. We are entering monsoon season now which lasts till March/April. Rain should build up from now on but we'll have sunny/ hot/muggy days soon too 😎 Our town doesn't get as much rain as other parts if South West Queensland because a mountain range to the west of us stops a lot of storms from reaching us. If the rain comes in from the Pavific Ocean, then we often get lots of rain.

Thank you Susan for bringing me up to speed with the types of weather you have in Queensland. I am learning a lot about the weather patterns in your area as well as in Linda's and Barb’s area too. I did forget about you entering the monsoon season. And it’s good the Mountain range to the West of you blocks the storms from coming your way. Stay safe…Blessings on your day!
For us, the forecast was about right with sunny ☀️ skies but it was a little warmer, with reaching 85 degrees, temps right now at 9:30 P. M. are at 68 degrees overnight they are to dip to 58 degrees.

IT'S OK Judith. I am sure there is heaps I don't know about your area or have forgotten if you told me.

Hi Everyone,
We are under a severe weather warning ⛔️ and air quality warning ⛔️ which is severely dangerous to everyone especially pregnant mothers and the young children infants and seniors. Smoke from the wildfires are causing health issues. We are told to limit our time outdoors which I have. Temps for our area reached 90+ degrees and rising. And these conditions are expected for several days.
Our Air Quality scale is Deep Red and registering at Level 7

Keep safe inside while the air quality warning is in place Judith. We had sunny sky with just a few clouds, high of 94F (34.4C) and a low of 64F (17.7C)with humidity of 17%.

Thinking of you, Judith, with the air quality being so bad and it being so hot. Linda, it sure is hot where you are, too. Both of you take care.

An overview for Spring/Summer, Australia wide.
⚠️SPRING WEATHER ALERT - A strong negative Indian Ocean Dipole is underway which is expected to continue until December! The current value is -1.28C, well past the 0.4C threshold and falling which is already stronger than predicted.
The cool water in the West Indian and warm water in the East Indian often causes an increase in trade winds with more convection and moisture being drawn in over large parts of Australia. This can lead to increased rainfall and cooler than average daytime temperatures for Western, Central, Southern and Eastern parts of Australia from September - December.
The extra moisture mixing with Spring time heat may also lead to increased thunderstorm activity for many areas.
Very interesting times ahead - we are not seeing much of an atmospheric response or coupling just yet because the neg IOD has only just started.
PS: Yet another weak La Nina in the Pacific Ocean may also develop in the next few months further boosting rainfall chances for Eastern Australia...1 -
Praying for you Susan please stay safe…
Thanks for both of your prayers Susan and Linda..
the Weather and Air Quality warning Alert 🚨 stays in affect!

It's OK, Judith. I didn't mean to scare you with my post. It's just a seasonal forecast and while they say there might be more rain than we have had in recent years, I know it is going to be wet. Australia needs the rain. Until it floods, I actually like the drama of storms. He he. It's so cleansing! And all of our water storage dams get filled, trees get a good, deep drink etc. They won't get much of a drink today with only 1mm of rain predicted!

We are still under the Weather and Air Quality Alert Warning. The smoke was a little better today but certainly not where it should be.
Today’s high was 82 degrees but seemed warmer as with the smoke it seemed to hold the heat in making it seem warmer. I am sure that does not make sense to you Susan…it hardly does to me….. it’s the best I can describe how I am feeling.
1 -
Yes, clouded, smokey skies would hold in the heat. We get huge fires here every year so that has happened to me too, Judith. it makes sense for sure. Take good care.
0 -
Thank you Susan, my prayers are with you.
Our weather remains the same, Smokey skies and Air Quality is not good.
Forecast did say tomorrow is supposed to be better. Here’s hoping.
1 -
OOh Judith, I hope the air improves tomorrow. ❤️
1 -
Thank you Susan, today was better but still a lot of smoke in the skies.
The Temps all week according to the forecast says temps in the mid 70’s, Thursday when in Vancouver will besought 75+ but really feels closer to 80 degrees.
0 -
That's a good trend if the smoke is lessening, Judith. It will be cooler then as well. Your ac will be battling with filtering all the smoke for you. Take care, my friend.
1 -
Thank you Susan, today, the Air Quality is about the same and the temps are the same for today. There is a lot of smoke in the skies. Hoping things improve with wildfires.
1 -
I hope so too, Judith.
WeWe're having a good taste of summer today.

That’s great to hear Susan, enjoy the nice weather….
Things continue to improve here, less smoke filled skies. Temps were a high of 75 degrees….
0 -
That's reassuring, Judith. May the smoke continue to clear. We had a tyre place catch on fire around here yesterday. Rubber burning makes lots of black smoke and it doesn't smell good. 🤢 Now our temps are dropping a little again.
1 -
That’s too bad about the tire place that caught fire. Was the building lost? Thanks Susan, our weather is improving.
Today was a nice day, less smoke but temps were higher reaching a high of just under a notch of 80 degrees. Tonight’s low is 59 degrees.
Forecast says to expect rain showers…
0 -
Yes, The building was lost and one man was injured or killed. They are investigating why it happened.
1 -
Thank you Susan for sharing. I hope they can find out what happened! 🙏
Today’s weather here, Smokey skies, Temps around 70 degrees but feels warmer!
Forecast says 1mm of rainfall is expected for Sunday, here’s hoping 🤞
0 -
Things like that gire fall out of the news feed quickly, Judith, but I am sure they will be investigating even if I never hear about what happened.
It's going to rain a bit today, apparently, and it's cool again.
0 -
Thank you for the heads up, yes I understand as it happens with some things here but for a Fire when death involved they report regularity.
You have up to 0 to 4mm of rain as our forecast says 1mm of rain is expected for Sunday. We have had 0mm of rain several days now, today bold letters said NO Rain….
hope we get some…
