This is the time of the month when RangerRickL usually sets up our monthly promo on the MFP Challenge Board. He's away for a couple weeks moving.... so I've set it up for November.

And as far as a fun topic for Sunday...... back in August, @biketheworld had a terrific idea of asking each of you to share a picture.... so I thought it would be fun to do that again. We always enjoy seeing photos of dog walks, hikes, walks by the water, bike rides, horseback rides, etc. So let's showcase our active lifestyles by posting photos taken during an activity. It doesn’t have to be official “exercise”, it might be playing with the kids in the yard, working in your flower bed, or yes, even running a marathon - as long as it’s something that your healthy lifestyle makes possible! Try to use pics that we haven’t previously seen.3 -
Yesterday (Saturday) I did my 10-mile #icecreamwalk since it's supposed to rain Sunday. Only, there was no stop for ice cream! (it's a little too chilly!) As I was walking the bike path through one of the parks, I noticed a "trail" leading up the hill (you can see it in the picture looking up the hill). I decided to investigate and it ended up being a short cut to the road! Lol. 2nd picture is from the top looking down.

Hey all, have not posted since the 19th. I really thought I could get it back together. This bit with my father is a huge mess on top of still not being done with the move/house sale. I was really wanting to be able have my act together for my 60th birthday this week as a nice milestone. "Me time" is going to have to wait a little longer until things settle down (yesterday I literally spent 2.5 hours cleaning out the top have of my parents refrigerator, then drove to their dump with a combined weight in bags of 80 to 100 lbs. We won't describe the cleaning part.)

I always enjoy the photos which are posted here! I cannot imagine doing a half marathon much less one up Mr Rushmore! wow.

Pass day #4. (While I’m over three, I’m way under what I have been the past few months so I’m ok with it.)
Hubs birthday and we’re going out to our favorite restaurant. I plan to enjoy what I’m eating and not mind how many calories it is. (Edit: I am, however, wearing rather tight jeans so I’ll only be able to fit so much in my belly as a measure of control. Lol.)
As for pictures, here’s one of my favorite running game: “ I hoped those people picked up their dogs’ poop and it’s not hiding under the leaves.”

This is a fun trip we did last year? Kayaked the New River and actually did some swimming and diving. Us with 2 out of 3 of my kids. Today was a nice walk on the green belt behind my house and some circuits at the trainers house. That is my mom in the tube.8 -

This is me on today's hike. I am so thankful for the beautiful scenery so close to home. Not hard to want to be active in this environment.

I took up leisurely bike riding within the last year. Here are a couple collages of some of my rides. My main form of exercise in the warmer months is swimming so I included a shot where I spend a lot of my time.11 -

Sorry to hear @SModa61. Happy early birthday and just focus on settling in after the move and helping your parents through this. Unfortunately it will take a lot of your energy and time. I've been through of some of that and it's a stressful period; best wishes for you in the days to come.3 -

I am a slow learner apparently. I’ve known for a long time that good, long exercise diminishes my appetite. For example, I can bike 6 hours and not be a bit hungry. Same with a long run or walk. I actually force myself to eat something so I keep up my energy. Today was a rainy gloomy day and I stayed inside all day and did no exercise. And now, I’m eating and snacking and on the verge of a binge. So for me, exercise isn’t just about burning the calories, it also keeps my appetite under control as well. This is something I’m going to need to figure as I head into winter and it will be difficult to be outside for long.7

Minimal exercise this morning since my knees were hurting yesterday and today. They are better this evening. It doesn't help that the mornings are cooler. No pictures here since I do all my exercise inside outside of the occasional outdoor walk which we had hoped to resume but too many mosquitos still so maybe next month.4 -

Chilly day here but knew both Beauregard and I needed a good long walk today to end the week well. Dressed for it and loved it once we got out and moving. 👟👟🐾🐾

Exercised ?: “No” Was prepping to go out and walk but decided to put energy into cleaning kids room while they were away.
Calories ? No- as a result of no formal exercise and not doing a “midnight hour decision” to try to exercise away the overage—I took the pass/decided to learn from it. I spent time w/husband and tried something new pandan waffle?. I feel as though I can do these things and stay within budget—or choose to live a little and be ok w/an imperfect day as long as it’s not a habit.
