Exercised ?: YES Went for a walk 2.15 miles. Was slow going but I went.
Calories ? YES but I cut really close, and felt like I was fair on items I wasn’t sure of. I believe water intake and stress has an impact, but overall proud of my choices and mindfulness.

I live and die by my notes section. Use to rely on it solely when I couldn’t actually track calories. My favorite is writing PLANS and ACTUALS or what I like to call “Pre-playing my day” So I can identify pitfalls( party, stress, company lunch etc) and think of strategies or a plan of action to overcome. And I track if it worked/what went wrong or if a certain pattern is emerging that I want to change or maintain.8 -

I have been weighing, measuring, and tracking religiously since I'm committed to this challenge and because so many successful maintainers swear by it. Maybe it will help me in the long run...guess that remains to be seen.

Really excellent workout today though I'm not sure what it says about me when my heart rate is higher with the workout than I ever get with the treadmill.6 -

I know folks in here who don’t have issues controlling their intake. Usually they were lifelong normal weight but losing weight after having a baby. Many of them won’t have to track.
So, it depends upon your MO. Do you eat the right amount effortlessly when you don’t track? Then, you might you might not need to track.
In my case I had two obese parents each with their own bad habits & dkssdentary. Lovely warm parents ❤️
So, I’m a formerly obese normal weight person which is quite different than an always normal weight person.
I will eat just a little too much & soon have all 70 lbs back on if I don’t track. An extra 50 cals a day, will put on 5lbs a year. 2 of my 3 maintenance years I put on 5lbs. (I went 5 lbs under my goal at beginning of maintenance & lost 5lbs in between the 2 years. I now find myself in situation of having to lose about 5 lbs (partly be cause our new scale reads higher!)
I know, over time, you will figure out exactly what you m Ed to do to meet your goals for yourself!!

Did I stay within my calories? No - exceeded my planned deficit. Still within maintenance calories but that wasn't my plan for today so taking pass day #2
