Trying out new cardio

I just got a Cardio Ballroom fitness DVD starring Julianne Hough.
I am not a dancer and it was hard but fun. It will take me awhile to learn all the steps but I did the best with the jive. Go figure.
I am sweating enough to fill a tub!

I also bought 2 of the 10 minute solution DVDs. One for Fat blasting dance mix and one for Knockout Body.
I can't wait to try them.

I remember my trainer saying that after 3 months of doing the same thing, your body goes into muscle memory and is more efficient, thus not getting your best work out.
So I am going to mix out my favorite elliptical with these tapes.

I swear I responded to this. At least I remember typing one out! Maybe I got interrupted before I could post it.

How are you liking the videos? I vary my cardio a lot - I agree it's important to mix things up, not just for muscle confusion but also just to keep things interesting.

I am going to have to look this up! I will say I did the 5 mile Walk Away The Pounds (that I found on youtube) and I was sweating my booty off! I needed something lower impact since I'm sick this week.

Let me know how the 10 minute solution videos are! :)

I really liked the dance DVD though I am a clutz and a dork so I am glad no one was watching me and I'm glad I don't have a mirror.
Once I get better at the dances, I'm sure I'll be burning more calories as I won't have to stop and twist my head trying to figure out all the steps!!!!!

We do a Zumba class at work every other Tuesday. It was pretty funny the first few months watching us all moving in different directions at the same time. The saving grace was that none of us had done it before so we were all in the same boat together.
