Do you like ethnic food? Then, this is where we should meet! Let's share ethnic dishes or drink!

My personal favorites are Italian and Chinese. How about you?

Right now, I would like to share a recipe called Sweet and Sour Shrimp. The recipe claims that it is easy to prepare, but the recipe does need a little studying. My only complaint is that the food could burn, so needing constant stirring.

But if you really like Chinese and do not want to pay a fortune at a Chinese restaurant, here you go! Be sure to tell if you like it!

I struggle with finding a good orange chicken recipe that doesn't call for marmalade. Hope someone knows of one.

I shall research for a recipe for you soon. A fellow member of the group, his name is gralan1, just might know of a recipe for you. He used to be the team leader of the Ethnic team on Sparkpeople.com. It is good to have him here!

    Pizza Butter

    4 softened sticks of butter
    oregano
1 bag of shredded mozzarella cheese or shredded Mexican blend cheese
1 can Rotel with green chiles

In a microwavable bowl, mix all ingredients.
If butter is not soft enough, nuke the bowl of ingredients for 1 minute.
    Stir

    Voila!

Serve on crackers, saltines, bread, tortilla wraps, vegetables, etc.

I have had this recipe for years.

All ingredients may be found at Dollar Tree!

I prepared this for New Years this year and received good reviews.

This recipe may be made frugal with a few changes...

For the skirt or flank steak, by Steak-Uums from your local dollar store, such as Dollar General or Family Dollar. Then, buy all of your other ingredients from your local Dollar Tree.

Why not use hard shell tacos also?

    What do you think?

I don't know if I've shared this before, but my Italian uncles would fix green scrambled eggs for us for Easter.

Gently stir fry chopped spring onions, fresh chopped parsley, and fresh mint until tender in olive oil. Then add the beaten eggs and we cooked them until the eggs were soft, as that's how most of us like them. We'd have to leave a portion in the skillet to cook it hard for my sister, Patty. The uncles grew all the veggies, so the eggs actually turned green. It doesn't do that so much with fresh grocery herbs.

I bet delicious! Can you use any onions? Our local grocery stores do not have a selection and I no longer live at home with my family with a garden.
