Sorry for the late check in! I had my head in the clouds with the holidays. I really wanted to use the weight I had on Tuesday. I was so sick to my stomach that weekend and was down to 220! I knew it was just water weight though. Happy Thanksgiving all!

@laurelfit57 Yes, cooking the turkey upside down is a bit of effort but what a difference. As is following the tips about not basting and letting the turkey rest. Here is the link of the advice I followed, and it worked perfectly! https://www.theyummylife.com/Best_Roast_Turkey Ohhh my you have had a crazy November and I hope December will be much more relaxing for you. Food poisoning is just awful! I’m the same way that when I start moving things or cleaning it turns into a full-blown project. I’m sure you are loving the results and I’m glad that Vannie is feeling so much better! I’ve heard good things about lightboxes and will be curious to see how you like yours after a few weeks of use. Also, for that 4 pm slump do you snack around that time? Maybe change that up to some lean protein to see how that works to give you some more energy. :)

@Katmary71 Ouch sorry about your poor body being knocked out. The first time I threw out my back was picking up a sock that fell out of the dryer. It happens! What recourse will you have if your ex refuses to leave? What a jerk! :/

@trooworld So sorry that you are having a rough time and that your family member isn’t doing well. <3

@Cornanda It is a hard age when your kids are trying to move into adulthood and yet still feeling like kids when they are around you. Hard for them and for you all. I’m sure it will get better with time. I hear you about evil old Lizard Brain. I was all set to tame the beast and then my mom handed me a baggie of Peanut M & M’s. I ate them all in an hour. Ugghhh!! :#

Hi Team! Another busy day around here. Mom and I went to Trader Joe's and Walmart this morning and then I came home and did a little housework. Hubby and I went to Khols and Sams this afternoon. I was going to work out, but I slept so badly last night and with all the shopping, I just don’t have the energy. I have done fair on my eating. Not counting a baggie of candy that my mom gave me. :p

Well, I got a great start to the day! Ran out and got my grocery shopping done for the week, came home, read our posts, posted directly into our chat, then pressed done instead of post🙈
So I will try once again, now that I’m not in such a hurry LOL!
@Katmary71 I am so sorry to hear about your back and shoulder! That can happen so easily! Typically when we’re not paying attention:/. When is his 30 days up?
@trooworld So glad you are getting into the neurologist quickly! It is so tough when you have a family member going through health struggles, really sorry to hear that. This isn’t really a slump that I am going through now, I have typically always had that 3 o’clock one and it only lasted for about an hour or so. This hits me about 4 o’clock in the afternoon and honestly I can’t get myself together for the rest of the day, the other day I fell asleep at the supper table at 6 o’clock!

@Cornanda I ’m sure your lizard brain totally enjoyed the weekend :-) :-)! Kids… what can I say? I have found that the older mine get the more solid they get for sure! They will always own our hearts and take us on those wild roller coaster rides with them.

@TeresaW1020 I will definitely check out that turkey link, thanks! What I am experiencing now isn’t the same as what used to be my regular 3 o’clock slump, this is very different it lasts the rest of the day.
It sounds like you and your mom get in trouble together LOL
It was a much better day today. I decided to skip out on the gym this morning, I just have not had an appetite so haven’t been able to eat enough nutrition to sustain a proper work out. Instead I went to Costco and Safeway and have a fridge full of food for the week! I went to agility with Vannie today, this is the first time she has had kibble in two weeks, so I saved it for her training. She was so excited about her kibble she nearly lost her mind in training🤣🤣. So I did get some exercise and and felt good about that. All in all it was a good day!

@Cornanda I show love with food as well. It's a bad habit. I'm sorry about the confusing emotions from the kids. I hope it gets better soon. Thanks, it's hard...I just kind of go into a primitive survival mode that tells me to eat.

@leonadixon Congrats on the loss. I'm sorry you were sick. I hope you are feeling better now.

    @TeresaW1020 Thank you. <3

@laurelfit57 Oh that stinks about the post. Thanks, yeah it is very hard. Yesterday, I felt like there was an elephant sitting on my chest. It was very hard to breathe. I kept taking deep breaths but it only temporarily helped for a few seconds. Wow that's weird about the 4 o'clock thing.

@krea4 I always love the beginning of the month when everything is new. Good luck in December.

Hi all. My anxiety was quite high yesterday and as I mentioned to Cornanda above, I just kind of went into a primitive survival mode. Unfortunately what that looked like yesterday was eating anything that wasn't nailed down. But I did make some good decisions along with my bad decisions: when I stopped by the grocery store to get new groceries, I got a few healthy things along with the junk. I picked up an egg white quiche, some salads and some stuff for sandwiches.

    100-day challenge commitments:
    1. I will put my utensil down between bites. ✅
    2. Chew slowly and chew enough. ✅
    3. Stop Eating C.R.A.P. Challenge: ✅

Thank you all for the encouragement about my kiddos. It's good to be reminded that things will get better as they get older- renews my hope. They left yesterday- two weeks left of this semester.

@leonadixon - stomach flu right before Thanksgiving? Yuck.

@TeresaW1020 - Those darn M and Ms! I hope you slept better last night.

@laurelfit57 - Glad Vannie got some exercise and some kibble. And glad to see you checking in more- it's always great to hear from you!

@krea4 - Starting new is great. Go you!

@trooworld - how are you doing today? A therapist gave me this suggestion: When you are anxious- ask yourself- "what can I do about this RIGHT NOW?" Generally the answer is "not a dang thing". When I remember to do it, it really helps me push those recurrent thoughts away.

@Babyvirgo21 - Welcome! Glad to have you here. This group has been a huge help to me on my weight loss journey. I hope you will find it useful as well.

This morning I did a live workout with my current favorite: https://www.cdornerfitness.com/ This helped me get going earlier because I had to do it at a certain time. My eating has been good today. Lizard brain is still talking to me, but mostly back in the cage. I'm not quite done, but I decided to plan out all the meals I will make while the kids are home. This means planning through 1/9/22. Hopefully that will help me keep things reasonable while they are here. In 10 days we leave to visit family in WI. I'm going to make those 10 days count by eating well and exercising. The Thanksgiving weight needs to be gone before I leave. Perhaps you remember the boatload of treats my MIL had when we visited last time? It was pretty bad. I stayed strong then and I can do it again.

How do you guys stop thinking about eating?? I got to work this morning and had jello (i was running late) and all i can think about is my lunch.

@krea4 it is always great to start a new month with a fresh slate, you’ve got this!

@trooworld I totally relate to you and stress eating! But seriously good job on making the healthy choices at the grocery store!! I really hope things settle quickly for you♥️
@babvirgo21 this is a great and supportive group, I find that checking in on a regular basis really is so important, even though sometimes I’m not great at it:/. For me and not thinking about eating, is all about routine. As long as I am on the schedule, I am not thinking about food, it’s when I go off the rails that it gets bad
@Cornanda my daughter, who now has two kids of her own, now apologizes to me on a regular basis LOL! Kudos to you for the meal planning with kids around, I was never good at that! Sounds like you are seriously back in control :-)

Well, I think I found the culprit for Vannie‘s issues!! It’s her dog food, I only gave her a quarter cup of that yesterday and she ended up with the runs again. At least I know the problem now, I consider this a very positive thing!
I am making up a big stew, to go out to my brother and sister-in-law‘s farm, I will have to watch myself… My sister-in-law is making homemade buns to go along with😉. I think I have everything accounted for so I should be OK

@laurelfit57 Hmm maybe you are lacking in some mineral or vitamin that could explain your slump. And if you aren’t eating enough that would do it too. Keep an eye on your symptoms in case you go to the doctor and need to give them a full report. I’m glad that Vannie is back to normal and loving her kibble. :)

@trooworld Just be kind to yourself and try to do things that are good for your stress. <3

@Babyvirgo21 Hi Michelle! Welcome to the team! We are definitely here for accountability and for support. Starting a new workout routine can be painful at first. Hang in there and do some extra stretching for your sore muscles. As for not thinking about eating, that is a hard one for many of us. However, I really do advise that you do not eat Jell-O for breakfast. That kind of empty, sugary carb will do nothing but trigger your appetite and make waiting for your next meal much harder. What kind of diet are you on? Personally, I really recommend a high protein, low carb, and moderate fat diet. Sticking to whole, real foods as much as you can help with weight loss and cravings. :)

@Cornanda Good for you for getting in a workout early. I find that usually helps me stay on track with my eating. Yes, plan your meals and focus on the next 10 days. You can do anything for that long!

Hi Team! Today is stay at home and clean all the things! I’m mindful that I will have 10 of my lady friends over on Saturday for a little Christmas luncheon and I want everything to be perfect. I did a cardio workout this morning with my Beachbody program, 645. The trainer Amoila Cesar is great! Tomorrow I start a 21-day weight-loss bet challenge with my Beachbody coach’s group. We put in $15 and since I love a good competition, I’m hoping it will help keep the scale moving, and maybe I just might win some money! If not, and more importantly, I want to end the year without a big gain and anything I can do to help me with that is a huge win!! B)

@TeresaW1020 Im not on a diet yet. I know about jello lol I was just late and had to grab something my boss has in the fridge. I have tried low carb before and I am okay with it but its still just so restrictive. My partner is on the other end of the weight problems and she is trying to gain weight... so that is another thing that makes this hard. I guess at this point my "diet' could be low carb for breakfast, snacks, and lunch. Dinner would just have to be a small portion.

@trooworld I hope your family member's health improves. He or she is lucky to have you in his/her corner. I had no idea Jackbox was so popular, my older nephew had played it at a slumber party. Sounds like even for a bad day you set yourself up buying healthy groceries, you may have felt like you were off your game but it was just a low day, you got this!

@Cornanda I can't remember if I mentioned it but the author of the lizard brain book has a Facebook group if you're on there, I joined it but never read the book. Sounds like you have good action plans in place! I do kind of remember your MIL having a lot of food, that's definitely a challenge when you don't want to hurt anyone's feelings.

@leonadixon I hope your stomach is doing better now.

@TeresaW1020 Sounds like with all the walking you did shopping you did get a lot of exercise! Sorry to hear about the back going out from a sock, it's such a wimpy way to get hurt! While I've told people about this I always start with I went up 10lbs in dumbbells and after THAT my back went out! If Eric is still here on the 15th he'll be escorted off the property, I'm totally fed up. Your Christmas luncheon sounds like a blast!

@laurelfit57 Is there any chance you're low on B vitamins? I have absorption issues and started taking a supplement which helped with energy. I switched to the supplement the holistic pain group recommends and actually feel more relaxed, clearheaded, and energetic with it, it's called Zeal. I don't want to sound like I'm pushing it but it's the only thing I've ever felt a difference with and I've tried a billion things. My ex's eviction date is the 15th, he's going to Arizona and getting a truck and coming back for the rest of his things in a week so hopefully he'll be out by then. I hope Vannie will be feeling better, sounds like it's time for a different food! Have fun at the farm!

@babyvirgo21 Welcome to Slimpossibles! So are you into astrology from your name? I'm a libra (my friend who is really into astrology recently introduced me to her DIL as a nice libra with a rowdy Aries ascendant like I'm some freak and I came with gifts for the baby! My Dad's a virgo too. Hope walking isn't too hard right now, when you first start out it's a big challenge! Plus once you're working out you have more energy but when you start it's awful to get started because you feel worn out. You'll get through the rough patch! That's such a challenge when your partner needs to gain weight and you need to lose. My ex-boyfriend can eat anything which is kind of annoying when you look at food and gain weight!

@krea4 It's so hard with the holidays, stick to some small changes that you feel are doable right now and try not to beat yourself up, I know if I'm feeling ashamed of myself I tend to be more likely to binge.

Hi everyone! I was feeling better so I did some cleaning, if your upper back is hurting do NOT clean glass because it sets you back! So yesterday I decided to use some old Macy's gift cards for retail therapy and they were so old they'd put a security hold on them and I couldn't buy my Cyber Monday discounted sale (not an emergency, just a fun lipstick set). I talked to two customer service agents and had to fill out a ton of paperwork and send pictures and details of the cards and now I have to wait 14-30 days. If it wasn't $75 worth of cards I'd let it go but it's supposed to be a present, that's not fair to freeze it just because I held onto them for years and years! Not much else going on, I'm doing great losing weight right now, I'm finally on a good wave. Honestly I didn't want to lose it because my ex-boyfriend kept putting me down for gaining weight on steroids last year which frankly I was tempted to gain a 100lbs just to show him how much his opinion mattered but I just maintained for awhile and when we broke up I decided to do it for me. I've lost 20lbs since August and was feeling pretty good then I had one of my stupid Depo Provera cystic acne breakouts and look like Rudolph right now so I don't feel all that confident. At least I wear masks everywhere and no one has to see it!

Have a great Tuesday night and Wednesday!

@Babyvirgo21 Hi Michelle! Welcome! I'm glad you joined our team. Weds is my weigh-in day too. Good luck on your journey, we are here to help you! How to stop thinking about eating: I ask myself if I am hungry enough to eat an apple. If I say yes, then I eat something healthy like an apple or some steamed veggies. If I say no (and this is usually the case), I try to distract myself. Something like a walk or reading success stories online. What can you do today to make sure you have a healthy breakfast for tomorrow? I would be thinking about food too if all I had was some jello. :)

@Cornanda Thanks for asking. My anxiety is a bit better and so is my family member but I'm still not back to where I was. I won't be until they are home from the hospital. That is a great suggestion from the therapist. I hope to remember it when my worry is overwhelming me. Yay for getting going with a workout! It sounds like you are getting back on track. If you did it once, that is evidence you can do it again. I know you can. <3

@laurelfit57 Thank you so much! My family member is doing better and we hope he's released from the hospital by the weekend. He's working towards it at least! Did you recently switch Vannie's food? I'm sorry she has the runs again but at least you know as you said. I love stew! Have fun!

@TeresaW1020 Good advice. Thank you! I'm sure your luncheon will go well. Good luck with the challenge!

@Katmary71 Thank you. It has improved and we are hoping he can come home by the weekend. Yeah, I didn't know Jackbox was so popular either, but we play it over the internet with some friends in NYC and it's a blast! Yeah, I made some good decisions but also some bad ones and I'm paying for it today. That stinks about the Macy's cards. What a jerky thing to do (the ex-boyfriend putting you down)! Grrrrr! Congrats on the loss. Well done!

Hi all. I am not surprised at my 4.8 lb gain, I had a rough week and it was Thanksgiving. I will try to do better this week. I've been doing a lot of running people back and forth from/to the hospital to see my family member. No time to cook. Hopefully, things will return to normal soon. At least this is the last day I'm in the office this week. We have boxes of Christmas decorations all over the living room, we were going to start decorating for Christmas when the emergency with my family member happened. It's really annoying to have the boxes everywhere. I hope we can decorate this weekend.

    100-day challenge commitments:
    1. I will put my utensil down between bites. ✅
    2. Chew slowly and chew enough. ✅

Hi all. It’s been awhile since I have been able to stop and take the time to catch up on here and see how everyone is doing. So much has been going on in my life it feels like I haven’t even had time to breathe. The one good thing I guess has been that I have managed to track my food daily and have even managed to lose a pound though I completely forgot to post it on my weigh in day so I have to apologize to my team but will be able to post this Saturday for sure. Today I’m taking the me time so that I can stay on my journey to a healthier happy me. No more spreading myself so thin that I am just exhausted. So that is my commitment moving forward. Take time for me.
I will be catching up with all of your posts today too so I can see how you all are doing.

@Babyvirgo21 - take the details of your diet slowly- make small changes, and once you've got them down, add. Maybe you need an emergency protein bar in your desk for when you run late?

@laurelfit57 - oh thank you so much for telling me that about your daughter. There is hope! I have a tiny poodle mix and his tummy is very sensitive. He's an old codger now, but over the years, we've had to gradually transition to a vet diet. At least it's a fairly easy fix. He used to puke every night at 3 am...... :s I hope your dinner was yummy!

@TeresaW1020 - thank you for the encouragement, I hope your lunch is lovely!

@Katmary71 - I'll have to check out that Facebook page- thanks! I cannot believe they froze your gift cards. I didn't know that was even a thing. So this Eric dude not only won't leave but puts you down for gaining weight while on steroids? Let me at him!!!!! Good for you for staying strong and not putting up with the BS.

@trooworld- I'm glad to hear your family member is doing better and that your anxiety is a bit less. @Katmary71 is right- they are lucky to have you in their corner. I hope things are looking better in a few days and you can put the Christmas decs up. Thank you for encouraging me- appreciated.

@tammymccrady6278 - hi! Good to see you!

    @leonadixon - Nice scale direction!

Control was better yesterday. And edging toward even better today. Took a walk, did a strength workout, now I'm doing some work work and things around the house. Had a nice cauliflower rice/salsa/chicken/veggie bowl for lunch.

@Babyvirgo21 I’m sorry if I assumed that you didn’t know jello might not be a good breakfast choice! :) I hear you about having to sometimes grab something on the go and when choices are limited. Low carb can be very restrictive, but I find if I focus mostly on protein and low carb veggies that help. I cook for my mom and husband every night, so I do eat more carbs at dinner too. So, your idea of going lower carb for your other meals and snacks is a great start.

@Katmary71 What a hassle you had to go through with the gift cards, but I would have done the samething. Although I have never been one to let a gift card go unused. :D Ugghhh that ex of yours makes me so mad! And I am glad that you didn’t gain 100 lbs because as I’m sure you know that would only have hurt you. So yayy for losing and putting yourself first. <3

@trooworld Yes, you know why you gained so give yourself some grace and just begin again the best you can. This is a crazy time of year and when other things hit us it is doubly hard. We both just gotta do what we can right now. :)

@tammymccrady6278 Good to see you checking in with us! Good job on sticking to your food tracking. I agree that we have to try not to do so much that we neglect our own self-care. We matter too!! :)

@Cornanda Sounds like you are doing great right now! Your lunch bowl sounds right up my alley. :)

Hi Team! I did my financial secretary training today and I’m getting much better. After I came home, I vacuumed the whole house and did a 45-minute workout. Today, I started the 21-day challenge, so I’m really going to try to keep that front and center in my mind. I know there will be many times I eat off-plan so whatever I can do on normal days with my eating and workouts will at least help. I'm also still doing the Data Driven Fasting and testing my blood sugar before my meals. :)

    Hi everyone!

F2F months start on a Sunday so they don't always (or rarely) align with the start of the month on the calendar. We'll be in "November" for both the thread and the spreadsheet through this Saturday, December 4.

We'll post the December thread as soon as it is up.

@trooworld I hope your family member is out of the hospital soon, it's so hard being in there. That makes sense, I can see how you can play with people since it's online, how fun! They're in NY and you play from CA? Do you Zoom at the same time or something so it's like you're all together? Have fun decorating, there's nothing cozier than having all the decorations up!

@tammymccrady6278 Congratulations on losing a pound! I think a lot of times we think we've lost it but if you're still logging and losing weight then you're still in the game, way to go!

    @leonadixon Congratulations on the loss!

@Cornanda Now I'm singing Janet Jackson's Control, way to go! Your bowl sounds awesome, yum!

@TeresaW1020 Thank you Teresa, it was just a knee-jerk reaction, between my pain issues and diabetes I can't gain 100lbs just for revenge even though it was tempting, I was thinking of how many calories I'd have to eat to gain 100lbs in two months and it's a lot! My therapist seconded my thought that he's a narcissist but added malignant narcissist, honestly if he hadn't hung out in a group I hung out with for a few months in high school he never would've gotten by my guard. I hadn't dated for years and ignored red flags, thank goodness I learn from my mistakes. I'll never let someone move in because I feel sorry for them, just let them be homeless next time and protect myself. Sounds like you had a great workout between housework and exercise! I've been meaning to tell you the instructor of the Beachbody videos my Facebook friend has been posting but I didn't catch her name today. I can't do them so I don't watch them for very long.

Hi gang, I took my laptop in for repairs this morning so in a week I should be back logging on more often. I talk to a therapist every 6 weeks mostly complaining about medical care but I gave her an earful today about life at home then did Walmart pickup. I probably left her all upset but I feel better because now I have a plan on how to handle things, I wasn't sure of my rights on a few things and talking to her helped. My next week is pretty mellow so I'll have to find some things to fill it up, I don't want to be home all the time but at the same time I feel like I have to protect my things. Plus I have to blast music and be annoying to show no one has power over me. Very healthy right? What was funny is I was told today if I wasn't so fiesty this would've crushed me and she's proud of my strength. I'll probably go to the park and read tomorrow just to get out of here. Exercise is going better, my upper back is doing better but I keep setting myself back a bit by cleaning. Food is going good, I think because it's one thing I have control over right now! I've started sticking with two meals a day which works well, I take nutritional supplement drinks in the morning when I work out so that keeps me going until lunch. Hopefully I'll be able to start lifting weights again on Monday, I'll see how it goes. Oh, my subs for Walmart pickup are funny, I ordered eggs and because they were out of the small carton I now have two eighteen pack cartons that are packaged together and am still working on about 3 more days of egg salad. Bubba Gump but instead of shrimp it's egg everything!

    Have an awesome Thursday!

After Thanksgiving the scale shot all the way to 135+, so I’m happy seeing it coming back down and hopefully it’s a trend longer than 3 days.
Today we have the company’s holiday lunch and I’m determined to go for fish/shrimp/vegetables and maybe skip the desert table altogether (too ambitious?). I’ll let you know if I forgot and lost myself in the pie forest or something 😂

@tammymccrady6278 It sounds like you need, and deserve, a break. I hope you were able to relax yesterday. Hugs to you!

    @leonadixon Congrats on the loss!

@Cornanda Thanks, he's in a regular hospital room now so things continue to improve. You are climbing back to on-plan, yay!

@TeresaW1020 Yeah you are right about this time of year. Thanks! How's your back been since you got that new bed?

@Katmary71 Yeah me too. He's in a regular hospital bed out of ICU now so that's a step in teh right direction. Yeah, it's fun to play with our friends in NY. We do Zoom at the same time. We haven't had time to decorate YET, but I hope we can this weekend. We could use some Christmas cheer! I'm glad you were able to take your laptop in. I'm glad you have a plan on how to deal with things. Oh gosh about the eggs!

@GabiV125 That's a great weigh-in all things considered! I hope you have fun at the holiday lunch.

@RYcare broncobuddee said that it won't be posted until Dec 4th this month.

Hi all. Doing pretty well, considering my stress level. Had a home-cooked meal last night for the first time since Monday. It was nice.

    100-day challenge commitments:
    1. I will put my utensil down between bites. ✅
    2. Chew slowly and chew enough. ✅

Apparently Fit Body Bootcamp does not have a scale!! They track progress with measurements. Like WTH! Does anyone know where i can weigh myself? i cant get a scale till the 10th (payday). Does Publix still have those scales that take quarters??

@GabiV125 and @RYcare As others have said the new month for Fat2Fit will start on Dec. 5th because our new week always starts on a Sunday. You can see the schedule on the home page. :)

@Katmary71 The Beachbody instructor could be Autumn Calabrese. She is famous for her 21 Day Fix programs and has others as well. But there are several women instructors. I’m proud of how strong you are too. You don’t think the jerk is dangerous, do you? If so, you best get the police to come to help you remove him if needed. The Bubba Gump of eggs!! :D I love eggs and eat them almost every day. Scrambled with habanero cheddar is my jam right now! :)

@troworld Glad that you are feeling better and having less stress. <3

@Babyvirgo21 I don’t know if Publix still has scales. I guess you could go to someplace like Bed Bath and Beyond and see if they have some floor models you could step on. 😉

Hi Team! Today was a pretty good day. I had an extra-long staff meeting and only got the one building cleaned. Tomorrow I will go clean the other building and then I need to go shopping for some things for the Christmas party on Saturday. Tomorrow night, we are going to the church to watch A Charlie Brown’s Christmas out on the lawn. The weather is supposed beautiful and there will be free popcorn and hot chocolate. How can I say no to that! :p
Day 71 of the 100-day Challenge
I came home and did a 45-minute full body workout. Food was really good today. Fingers are crossed for weigh-in tomorrow.
