Teaching in a COVID world

Training Martial arts in during COVID has been challenging to say the least. Although I kept training personally, it had to change:
Training in parks (limited time back in the Dojang now)
Training with Masks
No sparring (BOOO!)
Online training
What would you like to see from your school/instructor that you have been missing?
What do you think is being done right?
What would you like to see changed?

We have been focusing a lot on kata. Personally, it is my favourite aspect, so no complaints from me. But I will appreciate training without a mask one day0

I agree, I love the focus on forms as well, as I really enjoy doing them. I do miss sparring though. We've had a few times when we've managed to sneak some in during lulls in the pandemic (right after everyone got their 2nd shot, as example) - but it's been very little.
I've come to appreciate just how much we need all aspects of training - forms, self defense, sparring, conditioning - take one or more away, and it really hurts the whole.1
