Ended up on Norco yesterday for a good chunk of yesterday. I assume that is why I woke at 1:30am unable to get back to sleep. I got a lot to do today since not much happened after I got the new battery in DW’s car. I will muscle through the day doing final Thanksgiving prep and try to nap. On the other hand the weather is pretty perfect for fall. Need to get a response from the Dr’s office or I could get a bit “cranky”.0

Mornin' gents.
Had to look up Norco...for break through pain? Shorter acting than Tylenol 3? So sorry about insomnia, opiods do that to me as well. Try not to take a tramadol after 2 PM. Very punny about car battery and being "cranky" with Dr's office.
7th Enbrel injection scheduled this am. Its beneficial effect seems to wear off after 3-4 days, although today, I am feeling pretty good. I did take two tramadol yesterday (early AM and about 2 PM) along with a 200mg celebrex in AM and tylenol ER just before bed and my activity level was minimal (only 5K steps). Today will try and not take tramadol and tylenol ER. Funny how things change, when I joined this group over a decade ago I was in excellent health other than a bum knee.
Bob, so glad your sister's memorial went well. May your heart heal from your loss.
Be OP ;-)

Morning.
PT this morning, then to DD's house to look at dishwasher all in pieces, which DSIL can't figure out how to install. Two days before she hosts Thanksgiving for 25 people.
Bill, may DS rest in peace. Blessings to your family this Thanksgiving.
Will be going to DD's for dinner, but afterwards going to EX's to visit DS who is black sheep of family it seems. Long story; but nobody should be alone on the holidays.
Cold morning here--21º at sunrise. Saw some ice forming on a pond the other day, when out walking. Have been walking a mile or so nearly every day. Getting more in the habit of doing PT regularly.
Have a good day everyone.0 -
Good Morning!
Bob, prayers continue as you and your family grieve. I pray that you can find peace.
Bill, praying for your pain management, and Lee, also praying for your pain management.
I have a doctor appointment tomorrow with my regular MD. He has doubled my BP meds, and now he has doubled my Buspar for anxiety. Sigh.... BP this morning was 138/83. That is an improvement. I don't know if that can be considered normal? That's with 100 mg. of Metoprolol.
Getting old is not for sissies.
Have a great day!0 -
Good morning gentlemen.
Instead of Men's Health, we're turning into Men's Pharmaceuticals. Speaking of which, I have to make the trek up to post to pick up prescription refills, this morning. Sigh.
We take out BP every morning, not because we have an issue, but because a BP spike is a sign Rita needs to look out for due to a chronic kidney condition she has. My BP is usually around 117/70, so no issue for me on that score. The engine is in fine shape, though the chassis might fall apart.
The Sassy diet plan continues to pay dividends. Very limited snacks, because she tries so hard to share them, and walking her 5 miles a day, has led me to drop another 1.5 lbs.0 -
Bob, pray you and family find comfort in knowing that Dear Sister is no longer suffering
I've been trying to stop taking tramadol but with cold weather these old bones hurt more. Doctor insist I take statin; arm and hand doctor suggested I start taking CoQ10 with statin and for now aches are not as bad.
Mike, I agree everyone needs others especially for holidays.
I do not understand family dynamites, DSIL's family will get upset with someone and will shun them for several years; was DSIL's sister now DSIL. I may not like something someone in my family does but I still love them and they are welcome in our home.
Steve, are you getting outside walking at least 20 minutes daily? meditating 5 or 10 minutes several times daily; stress not only runs up BP but long term will kill. Walk daily, meditate several times daily. Know if you have done what you can let everything else go. You are no good to anyone if you have not taken care of self. I know from experience.
Lee, Bill; hope pain is more manageable0
