Some tips in case you overdid it the last couple of days in spite of best efforts.

Overeating on one holiday (or two if you include Thanksgiving) isn't why I became fat.. Overeating EVERYDAY is why I became fat!
I don't beat myself up for indulging on Thanksgiving and Christmas. But it is definitely a change in mindset for me, that I allow myself those 2 days (guilt free) and no more!
Get right back on the wagon if you've struggled this month! Draw YOUR line in the sand!12 -

Exercise ✅ [> 20 min walk]

Exercise – yes, walking just over an hour.
Tracked – no
Calories – ?
5 pass days taken
Came home after lunch – more cold meat and cheese and biscuits, bread etc (and another brownie). We also had a mince pie – with cream – at midmorning. Breakfast was cereal, not weighed but not excessive.
I have had a sensible dinner, but as I didn’t track breakfast or lunch it’s another pass day.
On a positive note, we did have another good walk in the morning – over an hour – so my step count is well over 12,000 and that’s one yes.
I shall be back on track tomorrow – but my sister and her family are visiting. We haven’t seen much of them over the last 2 years. Her younger son lives in Scotland and hasn’t been down south since Covid began. Her daughter and elder son came to my son’s funeral but we couldn’t meet up for long – we sneaked a few hours together but it was against the Covid rules. I have seen my sister a few times – she visits my mum occasionally.
However, I should be able to track a bit better now I’m at home.
I won’t dwell on the pass days but get on with doing the best I can for the next few days.9 -
Pass. My last planned one of the month as we just got home from traveling. So glad to be home.
Rheumatologist apt I’ve been waiting for months for tomorrow. 😬🤞🏻 Let’s see if he tells me it’s all in my head or there is something going on. I’m not sure which I’d prefer honestly.11 -
Happy birthday @WhatMeRunning!6

✅✅✅ 1️⃣Pass day left
Back on it today. Lot’s of exercise, well in the green, and all tracked. Mostly healthy, but small indulgences. Probably too much sodium over the last few days. But trying to flush it out.

Happy birthday Chris @WhatMeRunning
I have my new Apple Watch! I seem to have it set up to send my step count to MFP, but it gives no calorie adjustment for my activity. Clearly I need help 😳

Calories ❌ (close, but as there are no calorie adjustments coming through for activity, I’ll post this as a pass day)

Another Pass Day - maybe 14?
I did exercise - 15 minutes MommaStrong, 20 minute walk
And I did eat better than the day before, guided by my belly, which was really mad at me. But I didn't preplan the day and didn't track and we did wind up having family over with a spread of deliciousness which I did indulge in. And then Christmas cookies in the afternoon.
But I lost 1.5 pounds of water weight overnight (up to pee 3 or 4 times in the night) so I think I'm on the right track.
I have today's meals planned out at my usual weekday 1200 calories and I've put the Christmas cookies in the cabinet so I don't have to look at them.
I am hoping to stay on track through the 31st and see a loss for the month. I am right now 0.2 pounds down from how I started the month, so that shouldn't be that hard. (I had the Thanksgiving weight gain at the beginning of the month).
Then Jan 1 will probably be a pass day because we traditionally have a New Years Day brunch.
But I don't see any other reasons for indulgence in Jan so I think I can keep it under 3 pass days. Let's hope.
Feeling rested from my "break" and with new energy for eating right.4 -

@jamcnewman i enter my exercise manually for things like spin rowing outdoor walking then you can put in the amount of time and calories or speed you walked. play with it it took me awhile to adapt but once I did it’s nice. Try adding the free zone app to your phone and it should appear on your watch face if you place it there it would be available where you have choices for time date weather etc.2
