Thursday Dec 2 - An early pass day. My husband's birthday. I did get the exercise but I didn't track and I definitely would have gone over. Still feel that a pass day now includes better habits than previously.

I guess I should clarify in that by prelogging I mean I usually finish my log for the day around noon so I can post fairly early. I prep my fruits and veggies and such for a few days so it's easy to log copy them as well. The only danger in prelogging is sometimes I end up missing something or accidently doubling something. Since I am in maintenance I don't fret too much about it tho.

Dec 2nd my daughters 21st (a challenge today)
I am proud to say that I have 3x YES (and that was with a steak dinner cake and cream), I skipped the chips. (chunky fries to many of you) I had the steak and loaded up on lots of veggies
My exercise consisted of cleaning my kitchen, just normal cleaning and the packing and moving of things to the car for the charity shop .. 6 bags of unused jigsaws games and books. I will take them up to the charity shop on Sat11 -

I feel December is the most challenging month to diet. Not only are there lots of events but with the cold weather I want to snuggle up with hot chocolate and food.10 -

Take care of yourself @Pammy757 ! Staying healthy and alive is more important than trying to get 3 check marks. Checking in regularly like you are so far is the way to win in the long game. It keeps your goals in focus even while going through a tough period which ensures you get on track quickly as soon as things improve. It's why all who post regularly, regardless of number of pass days, are celebrated as Champions for staying with their health goals even while they were briefly out of reach for whatever reason. The worst thing to do is give up as that usually just results in extended unhealthy behaviors beyond just the brief struggle. Keep with it, this stuff truly works!6 -

Thanks to all who answered my question yesterday. I appreciate the info. I was actually stressed over the fact I would not be doing my usual exercise regime and therefore be missing my exercise ✔️. Sorry that's my tunnel vision taking over. Got my pre approval letter for inpatient care today so I will be in the hospital from 12/15 to 12/17. I pray all goes as planned.5 -

I spoke too soon about yesterday's vaccine shots. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like a truck hit me. I had chills for about 30 minutes. I couldn't stop shaking. I felt pretty bad this morning though the soreness is improved this evening. I had to force myself to go on the treadmill this morning because I sure didn't want to. I will be retiring quite early this evening in hopes of getting a better nights sleep. I'm hoping to do the last EPIC I workout tomorrow if I'm feeling better. It's a no weights / stretching one so it will be a good workout to ease back into EPIC. Planning to start EPIC II on Monday.7 -

I can't believe that we are in the last month of the year! How time flies!
The UAC challenge has only 3 rules.- Did I exercise for at least 20 minutes?
- Did I stay within my calorie budget for the day?
- Did I keep track of everything I ate and drank?
At first glance, they look very simple. From my experience these rules are applicable to anyone at any stage of this health journey (I called it "health journey" not "diet"). Whether you are just beginning this health journey, advanced in this process or just maintaining. (BTW, I am in maintenance).
I have come to realized that these are the only things that nobody in this life will do for me. Nobody can eat for me/you, exercise for me/you or track what I/you eat, lick or bite in this world. This is all about me/you, my/your health, and my usefulness to those around me! If I don't take care of my health then I cannot take care of anybody. (You are always advised to put on your mask when there is low pressure in the plane before helping your child/anybody, else both of you will/may die )
These are the facts I like to remind myself every month.
Does it mean that I will not fail? I have learned to forgive myself and give myself the grace I will readily give others. All modern inventions we are enjoying today were created and designed many times. In failing you learn what will not work and what works. Failure gives me opportunity to know myself.
No, it is not about being perfect! But it about forming a habit. A habit that will bless me and move me forward in life, it will also bless those around me. Everyone fails at a time in their life.
Therefore, as you join us in this month's UAC, you do not have to be perfect. We are not There is nothing you are going through that no one in this group has not experienced. You are not the only one out there! This is a very supportive group. We will support you as you learn these habits. Come by everyday, read encouraging, funny, and realistic posts, and post something.
If you have at most 3 pass days (pass day is a day where you could not say "Yes" to any of these 3 rules). Then you are in Winner's circle.
If you have more than 3 pass days and you are here everyday, you are in the Champion's circle. If you have more than 3 pass days please do not disappear. We are all in this together

I don't want to pull a muscle patting myself on the back , but I was pretty excited that I got my workout in this morning prior to a very stressful all-day meeting. I knew I would be sitting, on camera, for about for about 7 hours straight and would not be motivated to work out afterwards. I think I said this last month, but the "old me" would not have done that.
