    Morning BBB

My sister, dad and his girlfriend arrive this evening. It will be so nice to see them. Sister is a huge foodie so need to scope out some restaurants…we haven’t eaten out at all since being here.

    Good morning BBB crew.

Not a good weekend for most BBB football fans, with Oregon, Oklahoma State and Georgia all losing. Sighs all around.

Tried to do some Christmas shopping, yesterday and ended up just sitting in traffic on I-5. Accidents happen at the worst times.

I also found out that the choir director expects us at church an hour and a half before the service. This sort of thing is getting more common and may force me out of the choir. I'll miss it.

Good for Stephs Dad, everyone needs somebody! Well, not needs but... Its nice to have someone special in your life!

Germany is still on, thats good Lee, fingers crossed! Who's taking the Pets?

My gift shopping list is short. Cash seems to be on everyone's list this year. They all get an ornament from me. I decided since Tom and I bought new appliances and last night we got a great deal on $2/3s off a serta memory foam mattress topper (try this in lieu of a new mattressfor now), and we are looking for a used UTV for at the lake and he's designing my engagement/wedding rings.... this year we will fill eachothers stockings for $50 limits. That's enough.

The www.opalman.com called him yesterday, his next import from Australia should be here in 2 weeks and he's sure we'll find our opal in it! :)

Cold cloudy and windy here today and may get a bit of snow.

I will finish decorating the tree today and relax given the warehouse move starts tomorrow... its going to be a long week! And quiet, since they are taking the computer server and it'll be awhile I'm sure before it's set up and I can VPN in remotely. If at all lol.

    Enjoy you Sunday everyone.

    Good afternoon
Handbells this morning. We have to be there 45 minutes early. An hour and a half early would do me in too. 7:15 was early enough even though I was up at 4:30 and never sat down. Busy around here.

I entered a chili/soup cook off. It’s fine. Just waiting to go. I’m sure that I will win. Ha

Steph. How do you feel about your dad having a gf?

I bought myself a watch for Christmas. I might buy dh a watch too. Ha. Boys just want money. Girls want gifts. I am avoid find. Just need stocking stuffers.

    Get better Carrie!!

Lee, when is Germany? Sounds fun to me.

We aren’t cruising in February. Just not sure yet.

Mary, sounds like PTO after computer taken down,
Steph, there is a very good little restaurant going North out of Gulf Shores on right in shopping center, believe name is Cathy's; have to turn into main drive then right again.
Fixed breakfast for Methodist men this morning, then early church service then Sunday school; tonight will go up to live nativity on church lawn. Going to skip charge conference which is for full district this afternoon. Thursday we will host a luncheon for our Sunday School class.
Going to wait for a very cold wet day in January or February to go looking for a new trike, more app to be willing to deal when sales are low.

    Great to hear, Doc (Germany)!

Just read about another COVID outbreak today on a Cruise Ship approaching N'Orleans:
    https://apnews.com/article/coronavirus-pandemic-business-health-louisiana-new-orleans-1f8edb74567df1abdbc29161d800056f

Patiently (NOT) waiting new AppleWatch from ....CHYN'ah.....that must be on a rowboat (shipped over a month ago)! Amazon has truly spoiled me!

90 minutes early seems extreme (for sure)!

Mary - will you get time off over holidays since they're moving everything south?

    Good afternoon BBB Friends.
    • Yep, not a good day for BBB Football. Well, I guess the MI folks are happy and maybe Lou was pulling for Baylor.
    • Manned the TV cameras for church this morning and going back for a Cantata this afternoon. Four church choirs and a small orchestra, not to mention handbells. The rehearsal yesterday promised great things. 4pm EDT if you are interested. https://www.fumcgreensboro.com/livestream-2
    • Sounds like fun Steph.
    • Get well Carrie.

I’m super happy dad has a girlfriend. Mom has been gone almost 4 years and he is only 68. Way too young to be alone. She is the mother of his neighbors (the ones who bought grandma and grandpas house). She moved to Nebraska from Ohio to be near her granddaughters, who visit dad everyday even before he started dating their grandma. I haven’t met her yet but both sisters say she is super nice and middle sister isn’t super excited about it.

I’m looking forward to meeting her.

Well if it means anything my grandmother at 88 said you never get too old and one of her first cousins had a gentlemen caller every Wednesday up till she turned 98. Everyone knew not to disturb her on Wednesday.
