I'm back & in need of support

Hi all

Was on here a while back & made some progress, but lapsed back to old ways.
My main problem being the booze, specifically drinking at home. I've had that lightbulb moment after reading stuff on drinkaware.co.uk, & realising a lot of it applied to me. Tolerance to alcohol, poor sleep, excersise having little effect & so on.

I've also shelled on a self hypnotherapy mp3 download - called Take Control Of Alcohol By Ailsa Frank which had excellent reviews on Amazon, had the first go last night on it, quite impressive.

So looking for some support as I start again, looking to lose 2 stone. Feel free to add me.

Thanks for listening.

Good luck with the cutting out booze :-)

I've been in situations before where I realised that I was drinking every night just to be able to relax...not a great place to be. Luckily I realised what I was slipping into and was able to just cut right back only allowing myself a drink at weekends. Certainly helped with the weight loss!

I still drink more than I should probably, but don't feel 'the need' so much anymore. When I think it's getting too much again I plan a booze free month...just starting one now after 2 weeks all inclusive holiday and a very boozey wedding reception!

It is difficult business the old beer issue..

Have a look at my diary - all sorted and lovely in the week and making some nice progress...and then come the weekend..bosh. Wine, ale, beer...cake even!

I know it is pissing in the wind a bit if I don't keep some continuity but I used to drink far too much, took myself for counselling and got a good handle on my drinking issues and nowadays I drink the least I ever have in 20yrs.

Still feel I could drink loads anytime though...doubt that goes away, but you have to take the choice and make it work - Just say no kids!
