Good morning gentlemen.
Odd statistic MFP kept: this is the 184th time I have started the discussion. We've been at this for a long time, haven't we?
Still waiting for our test results. Should hear today. Hope they are negatives, as we are running out of groceries and need to get to the store.
Weather turned overnight. Temps rose to mid 40s and it's pouring rain. They forecast 2 to 3 inches today and another inch tonight. That will put just about every river and creek over its banks. At least the snow is rapidly melting.0 -
Good Morning!
We received a dusting of snow overnight. Temp 7F this morning. Brrrr. Roads were fine driving into work, and I was able to drive 70+ all the way in.
I am feeling better, and I think I'm putting Covid behind me. I am starting to get it pulled back together at work. I feel like I lost the entire month of December somewhere. It is true that there is a brain fog connected with Covid. I felt more lucid yesterday, and I feel even more lucid today. I'm happy about that.
Dave, still pulling for negative Covid tests.
Have a great day!0 -
Morning, men.
After rain yesterday the sunshine is back today. There is something healing about a sunny morning.
Between MFP and WW, how many years has this group been online?
Started losing a bit of weight since tracking food resumed and hiking every other day or so began. The hiking especially has helped because I feel more like moving in general, so there's less wallowing in an easy chair for me. And tracking makes me more conscientious of the kinds of food I'm preparing. I need to bring back more veges on a regular basis. I didn't hike yesterday, but did go for a cold, mile and a half walk.
Today's the traditional end of the Christmas season -- Epiphany, when the 3 wise men arrived, 12 days later. In the Old World it begins Dec. 25 and ends Jan 6. In American it now begins after Halloween and ends Dec. 26, when all the trees go out the back door. That's so stores can sell Valentine's Day stuff.
Have a great day.0 -
Good Morning,
Had breakfast with Emmaus group this morning, small group as half had gone to Kentucky to help with storm damage.
Doctors visit yesterday resulted in shots in joints of wrist and thump, feeling better today
GP doctor tomorrow
Saturday will fly down to Tampa, settle paperwork for Trike then fly back and wait for Trike to be delivered to Madison, GA. Too cold for me to spend 8 hours on Trike with arthritis
Steve, slow and steady will get you caught up
Have learned the more active I am the better off I am0 -
I'm remembering this group starting on WW in either 2008 or 2009. I know for a fact that it was before 2010. We have been together as a group for a long time. I don't know what I would do without you guys. You have been a rock for me.0

Good Morning
I am glad you are feeling better.
I am indeed thankful for the longevity of this group. We have been on MFP for 5 1/2 years and seems like we had been going quite a while before that. Back when I started it seems we talked a lot about hiking, running, cycling, weight lifting and such. Now it’s tends to be family, various aching joints, muscles, medications and treatments. Time does indeed march on.
Made some progress with my back yesterday with this massage gun my son gave my wife last year. It helped get some of the spasmed muscles to release a bit. I officially start my job on Monday for Miracle Friends and am picking up a MacBook later today to make it easier on my back.0 -
Morning gents.
I have been on this board since 2008. I think Sam started posting about then as well.
Warming up in truck . Cold day dog training.
Be OP ;-)0 -
Well, I just got a call about my COVID test. I came up negative. Yay!
I started posting on Men's Health when I was losing with WW, in 2009 (I think). It has become an important part of my day. It is interesting how often I tell people about something I was told by "my friend in Connecticut" or Georgia, or the Bay area or wherever. Kind of cool to have a close-knit group that is scattered all over the country. You enrich my life. Thanks, guys.0
