A couple of days ago, I prepared a huge batch of macaroni salad! I used a good friend's recipe. I am still finishing the macaroni salad today!
The recipe is easy:
1/4 cup vinegar
1 cup milk
1 cup sugar
1 bottle of Miracle Whip
salt
pepper
red hot pepper flakes
cooked 1 pound elbow noodles
Mix
Place in the fridge for about an hour or 2.
Voila!

OK, my mother never taught me how to cook. She never allowed me in the kitchen as she thought I would get hurt.
So, I was working midnight shifts at a job and she would pack me lunches of pasta salad.
Go ahead and laugh at me.
So, I asked her if I could watch her and she said yes.
This is what I learned:
Toss the below into a bowl:
cooked pasta
black olives
cherry tomatoes
cucumber
onion
Pour a big bottle of Italian salad dressing over.
Sprinkle salt, pepper, red hot pepper flakes and McCormick's Salad Supreme.
The McCormick's Salad Supreme does the trick. (and a little bit of my mother's love and attention too)

For dinner I had a salad and chose Italian dressing. I have definitely lost my taste for Italian. Total yuck. I usually use oil and vinegar but we are out.0

Acapulco Tuna Salad
From the cookbook "Party Fare" by JoAnna M. Lund
In a bowl, mix:
Mayonnaise
Salsa
Tuna
Crushed corn chips
Place on a bed of lettuce

I am having a cheaper version of french fry salad for dinner tonight. Simply minus the steak.
Normally, I would just place french fries on a bed of lettuce with oil, vinegar, salt and pepper. But my roommates' loved ones gave me some fresh produce. So, I do have a tomato, cucumber, zucchini and cauliflower.
Then, we already have croutons.
We might have some cheese.
Cha-Ching!
I am going to devour my salad! I hope that you like this recipe!

This is a frugal meal!
Coleslaw mix is about $2.00! For the chicken, why not use canned chicken breast? Who doesn't have ramen noodles in their pantry?0 -
What can be as cheap as potatoes and tuna? Why not combine the 2 and voila! I am going to prepare this recipe for dinner this evening! I can't wait!
