Approaching retirement

I've been a MFP member for a long time, but just recently started logging food again. Boy! How surprising. Anyway, I will be 65 in May, and I am traveling across country to see my granddaughter graduate from high school. She lives in Utah, and we are going to spend several days hiking. My goal is to lose 10 pounds by then so I can hike without too much effort. My total goal is to lose 20 pounds, but I will start with 10. Seems like a reasonable amount of time to lose that amount. I live in New Bern, NC, so if there are any folks out there who are interested in walking/kayaking/going to the gym together, message me!
