Monthly Team Challenges for April 2022

Afternoon Hello Team,
Congrats on a well done job in meeting your goals for March. You worked hard and achieved the goals you were aiming for, Well Done!
I hope you will join me for the Month of April with raising the bar to your personal best!
Letβs push ahead with accomplishing our goals 1 day and 1 step at a time, we can do this; together with cheering one another on.
For the Month of April I have created both Nutrition and Fitness Goals.
Week 1
Nutrition Goals
Track your daily Calories
Track Water intake with aiming to drink between 5 to 8 glasses of water
Eat between 5 to 6 fresh vegetables and fruits daily, and introduce 1 or more new veggie and fruit for the month of April
Maintain at least 25 grams of fibre per day
Fitness Goals
Aim to get some form of exercise per day
Cardio: aim to get both upper and lower body exercises daily. Move those arms and legs, get the blood flowing.
Aim to have healthy heart rates. And for us, we women a normal resting heart rate is between 60 beats to 100 beats per minute.
Suggestions for Cardio Fitness:
Power walking, Marching in place, Rowing, Swimming, Treadmill, Gardening or you choose the exercise but aim to get at least 25 minutes or more per session.
Did you know: According to the Centers for Disease Control, gardening is considered moderate cardiovascular exercise. If you spend time in your garden, weeding, digging, planting, raking, hoeing, for 30 to 45 minutes a day, you can expect to increase your heart rate and burn 150 to 300 calories.
Strength Training; you choose what best works for you, upper and lower body strength training, you can use weights, bands, use your own body weight with push ups.
Aim to strength train at least 2x a week 25 minutes or more per session.

Afternoon All
Good to see you back Lori; Week 1 has only 2 days then we go into a full week starting Sunday.
I am back and working on stretching and strengthening my core. Using some light weights not what I once used but need to keep up my strength as I go into surgery and treatment again hopefully soon.

Thursday April 7 Team Challenge 1 and 2 was at Cancer Clinic pretty much all morning which took a lot out of me! Just tracked my food and water intake, no fitness.
