Ugh~
Cold. Wet. Rainy today (and next few upcoming).
C'mon weekend!
Ugh - sorry to hear about the power woes and purge of perishables. That sucks!
We were commenting about Brats that used to be 2 packages for $6 are now $7 for ONE package. This is insane. Our other friend said pre-covid he would buy 50# of lamb chops to grill for events for about $150. Same amount today is costing him $300.
Baby formula shortages are really a concern in our area and leading news story. Ugh.

Mornin' BBB.
Europe is laughing at the US reaction to high fuel costs and the subsequent price increase of goods.
Ended the day on a very sad note yesterday with a young patient...I really don't want to go into details other than all that could be done was done and it wasn't enough. Thank goodness I have my emotional support team when I get home.
Sassy is a gorgeous girl.
Kelly, wow. That sucks.
Speaking of brats, can you gag one down with the help of cold beer now Skip?

Good morning.
((Lee))
I'm sorry about the wasted food, Kelly. That has to be frustrating.
Speaking of choking down questionable foods, are you able to wash down sketchy frozen foods with a beer yet, Skip?0 -
At Fenway Park, they have these brats that are so fat they call them "gaggers".0

Good morning BBB Friends.
- Sorry about your loss Lee, that has to be the tough part of your mission. I'm sure it was good to get home to Mary, Babe and Lucy.
- As high as the price of gas is getting there is a subset of our society that is smiling. Food prices are downright scary. For those living on the edge they will be doing without. Sorry for your loss Kelly.
- Went with DW to see Downton Abbey yesterday. That's what husbands do.
- HOA Finance Comm. meeting today. There is one nasty line item that needs to be addressed.

Good morning BBB friends.
Well, as I commented on a similar post a while back, our power goes out for days, sometimes, and we have never thrown out any food. If the meat and dairy still pass a smell test and aren't moldy, we eat them - and have never had any ill effects.
Laughing at Sassy, this morning. She wants to be good, so she doesn't stick her cold nose in my face to wake me up in the morning. But she has no control over her tail, which starts to beat against the nightstand as soon as she thinks I might be waking up. Quite an effective alarm.0 -
((((Doc))))) sorry. Elated though you have the gals to cheer you up at the end of the day! Nothing puts you in a better mood that a lick and a tail wag!
No hot doggers or "gaggers" yet. Been taking it slow...... Did get some great Blue Point Oysters and some seared Scallops down while at dinner Saturday night - with zero issues. Will look forward to some potato salad and perhaps something on the grill this upcoming Memorial Day weekend.
LOVE the Sassy alarm clock!0 -
Good Afternoon,
Dental cleaning this morning, all good
Lawn edged and cut
Allergies and sinuses better but still an issue
Food cost has become a joke and being able to find many food items is a problem, Farmers can't get help when products are ready it is hard to find truckers to transport. I understand why many are getting out of dairy, truck farming, orchards and poultry. And then we have idiots in Washington proposing more restrictions and cost on the food industry.
If you look back gas prices are no higher than we were told they needed to be two administrations ago.
We must be careful what we want and look at all effects of our actions,
Sorry about loss Kelly, have you checked your insurance policy some carry coverage for food spoilage and loss0 -
Howdy.
The food loss goes toward our deductible. On the bright side, nothing needs to have an expiration date checked for a while. Ha.
I gave all new salad dressings and cheeses in the fridge.
Sorry about a bad day Lee.
Yep, baby formula, gas, groceries etc all insane. I did not vote for this I’m happy to say. Ha.
Headed to grab a beer in a bit. I’m still behind here though.0
