    Good evening everyone. Are you all ready for the weekend?
    Calories - 2392. Stayed mostly sitting with legs up today. Wanted to get swelling down some. Might go for a small walk tomorrow. Won't hit the gym until next week.

    Congrats @888Angie888 and @aneedlecraft on your loss!

    @rwood566
    I hope you can get the swelling down soon. I know I get more water retention when it gets really hot. Has it been hot there?

    @Morethanjustanumber
    Great steps! Hope are you feeling?

    I'm struggling with urges to eat junk food, mostly sweets, cakes. It's habit, maybe an addiction. I'm emotionally eating too... I think I use food as a way to squash down bad feelings. This dates back to childhood where I had ongoing verbal, emotional trauma for years. Still goes on... I just have set very firm boundaries. Live and learn. Anyhow, the food behaviors still exist. They are so ingrained in me. I am having a very difficult time changing them.

    I have a quote that says food is the most overused anxiety medicine and exercise is the most under-utilized anti depressant. I find that is so true for me. I think I may have mentioned before that I had to get therapy to deal with my food issues. I am not ashamed of having to do this either as it is no different than getting help for my diabetes. I am not cured by any means but am doing a lot better with it. A stressful or upsetting day can send me running to the kitchen. I just have more tools to recognize what’s happening.

    Are you able to keep the junk food out of the house? Can you find somethings that you can do instead of emotional eating? One thing I did when I started therapy was make a list of 20 things I could do instead of binge eating. I put it on the fridge so it was always visible. Maybe you could make a list for yourself.

    Exercise: 33 minutes of mini walks and decluttering

    To make a long story short, I forgot I had an appointment and wasn’t able to get to the pool yesterday.

    Not surprised but not as bad as I thought it would be. It’s a combination of restaurant foods, just eating again after very little for almost a week and the heat.

    Scales

    I noticed some of you are able to weigh yourself in .1 increments. What scales are you using and where did you get them? My scales displays in .2 increments but writes it to apple Health in .1 increments. 🤷‍♀️

    Good evening everyone. It's weekend time.
    Calories - 2390 or so. Forgot the amount.
    Did a 2 mile walk this morning. I had to stop once to work on my legs and clear my head.

    @lindamtuck2018 it has been warm here but my legs have been swollen since the surgery.

    Congrats on the loss! Megan what type of scales are you using?

    @rwood566
    Great job on the walking! Did it feel good to get back walking even with the leg issues? Is the swelling causing pain?

    I am pretty pleased with this weigh in considering last weekend I was on vacation and there was margaritas, fried seafood, birthday cake, candy, etc. It was so humid and my body is not used to that - maybe I sweated it all out!

    And after 75 days no rain, it seems that monsoon season has started here in New Mexico! Yay. Hope the rain continues.

    @lindamtuck2018 I hope you had a great birthday!

    Exercise: mini walks, weights using bands and light dumbbells, lots of housework and decluttering

    I caught up on so much stuff yesterday. I tweaked my back which is probably from the weights. I never learn. I still really enjoyed doing it as I have always loved lifting weights and hope to get back to strength training once I have my surgery. There is a gym 5 minutes away from here so I will join it. It’s important to have dreams. How is your weekend going?
