Navigating off limits foods

Hi all! Newly pregnant 40yo hear, first time. I’m getting lost in all the literature about what not to eat! Soft cheese, deli meats, raw eggs, undercook meat, raw fish… it’s dizzying! How did you all navigate figuring out what to eat?

Same here! Same age, same feeling. I have been googling a lot. And drinking decaff, haha. I wish you luck!

I know I'm late to comment on this but...
One thing that's made this easier for me is heating food, my nutritionist at the diabetes clinic told me deli meat is OK as long as it's heated until it's steaming. Also, any pasteurized cheese is OK for pregnancy, even soft as long as it's pasteurized.

I'm 36, second pregnancy (rainbow baby), diagnosed with gestational diabetes, so this advice comes from a nutritionist specializing in high risk pregnancies. 💝
