I worked out for the first time in a couple months. I felt good that I was able to walk close to 10,000 steps and I was able to ride my stationary bike for about 30 mins. But lo and behold, I gained 2 pounds the very next day! Hello water retention!!

Do not get discouraged about the weight gain after a good workout, especially if it was the first workout after a good while. Keep pushing! It's only water retention, your body will adjust and you will continue to see the weight loss in time.
