Good morning gentlemen.
Couldn't sleep this morning, so I am up early. For the first time, Sassy didn't come downstairs with me.
Should be a nice day, today. We were surprised by rain yesterday afternoon, so I really need to mow the lawn this morning. DDIL will pick up the grandkids after lunch.
It looks like summer is finally here. The 10-day forecast is all sunshine and 80 degrees.0 -
Good morning!
Very happy that today is Friday!
What a nice picture of Babe and Lucy! I've never had a dog that likes to be in water.
Still very hot and humid here.
Sam, I remember back in the early 80s when I had a motorcycle. In the winter, it was nice, because the warmth of the engine would help keep me warmer. In the summer, it was very hot, and even the wind blowing often didn't help when there was high humidity.
I'm still feeling much better with the Wellbutrin. I like it!
Have a great day!0 -
Good Morning
That was a great picture of Lucy & Babe!
Its heating up here again. It should be toasty by Sunday. Heather wants to go to the County Fair tomorrow. I am reluctant but will mask up and go after Wimbledon Women's Finals. Not much going on here, except trying to stay cool and get things done around the house. Exciting.0 -
Yup as Steve says at a certain point wind does NOT help to cool you. Lower humidity and also reasonably hi temps help with a breeze. I found on my bicycle that when it got super hot (say over 100 degrees) the wind just felt like a hot hairdryer blowing on me and didn't help in the least. Las Vegas dry (around 3-5% humidity you can get some cooling especially if pouring water over yourself. That's true.
We lucked out with just a bit of early morning rain so mowed yesterday.
Today we are doing a " %*#$ Cancer" party/dinner with our friend Judy. She has done very well so far with some kind of pancreatic cancer variant the last year or so. I am going to wear my dinosaur tie tonight ( picture a T.rex riding a bicycle). Judy got me to WW with an early morning bike ride a few years ago. We stopped so that she and her husbanc could weigh in at a rural satellite location.
I am going to mask up at least for part of the time and hope for the best.
Cheers and stay healthy all!0
