Wow. I’m starting us off. I hope to be back here daily now. Things are finally winding down. House is painted. Roof installed.
Today is cleaning day. Ds1 is coming from Wisconsin for the week. Lots of planning going on for meals etc.

Made trek to Ocelot brewery with Tucker where he played with several pupps and peeps. 🐶😅
Last night DW and I saw Top Gun: Maverick. Impressed. Was good flick and first time to theater on three years.

I am not looking forward to retirement, because I love what I do. I will do it as long as my faculties allow me to, but I don't want to be that doddering fool other veterinarians scoff and laugh at.
Sorry about the stinking hot weather, Lou. We are having a very mild July so far. I am wearing a thick hoodie and sweat pants as I sit at the computer this morning.
I was thinking about going fishing in Fisher's Island Sound (between LI Sound and Block Island Sound) last night but could not find a willing participant. I like to have a partner when I go out at night.
I. Hate. Rats/Mice that get into machines and cause damage. I am having to rewire my boat trailer, not because of salt corrosion, but to blankety-blank field mice.

Good morning BBB crew.
Retirement is one of those personal choices. I HATE forced retirement, though. An individual should be able to work as long as they want to do the job and still have the capability, not pushed out because of a number on the calendar. I, on the other hand, was bored to death with my job, and couldn't wait to leave it.
Staying home from church, this morning. DDIL's dad is coming over to repair our furnace. He's a great guy to do it gratis. I am the unskilled second set of hands when needed.0 -

DS came over and installed highway pegs on Toad,
Kids and grands took me DW and DMIL out for supper at one nicer restaurants Madison has, Ricardo's.
Therapist says DMIL can come up and down stairs provided someone watches her, also told her did not want her lying in bed except to sleep at night, to get up get a shower and get dressed, can sit in chair to rest otherwise should be walking.
Very wet and humid today, Lee please send cooler temps this way

My niece's flight was canceled on Friday so we reset for next weekend. It's been pretty miserable here with the heat, so we just melted into the furniture inside all day.0 -

Not sure the new housesitters friends will be any help getting sits but they do have over 100 in the past 10 years so maybe they can recommend us if there is a sit they can’t do. Mostly in US, Australia and England. Really not sure how much we will sit other places. Our US $$$ go so much further in most other countries it might not be worth the hassle of getting to and from unless it is in a high cost of living area.
Gonna be HOT again today. Headed out soon for a bike ride then pool before the sun gets to be too much. Forecast looks like mid 110’s all week.0 -

. We had a minor problem with the AV equipment at church this morning. I went to fix it and made it a major problem. No slides. I may be looking for a new job. I hope it pays as well.

I agree about this mandatory retirement. It’s crap. Dh has to retire in 3 years. He’s in better physical shape than most of the 20 somethings. Mentally he’s more mature too.0
