Good morning gentlemen.
The back feels better, but I have come down with a bit of a cold. Sigh. (Covid test was negative). Rita asked that I sleep with a mask on. How well that went can be seen by the fact that I was up at 3:45. I'll sleep on the couch or in a guest room tonight.
Tried to get a new phone from ATT yesterday and they couldn't sell me on without time payments. Told them we would go to their competitors. The big hassle will be that Rita will get a new phone at the same time and we will both have to learn how to use them, at the same time. I see some angst in our future.
I have a follow-up with my gastroenterologist this afternoon. I don't know why, but they called to say one was due, so I'll go.0 -

Came home a day early. DSIL and DD decided to come home last night because his family wants to meet today and talk about their dad (97) who has fallen so often it seems no long safe to keep him at home. Sad-- a WWII vet and just an all-around nice guy. I did have a good time bonding with the pets, walking the flower gardens DD keeps in the yard and just enjoying the quiet space at their house. Nice change of pace.
Cool and rainy right now; expecting very hot weather later this week.
Dave, good luck with the phone situation. These and other technologies have changed our lives, maybe in ways we don't even realize, for the better I suppose, but not all of it better.
Looking for other possible locations for another camping trip. I do want to get out to Cape Cod to visit the kids and GKs there.

Dave, I hope that your back heals with no lingering problems. I too need to get a new phone. I don't care for that type of change.
Mike, those are always hard decisions on what care is best for loved ones who can no longer make that choice themselves.

Bill, it was good that you had such a nice day on the coast.
We are back to hot and humid here in Kansas. I worked outside yesterday morning, and almost over did it. I am safely back to work this morning to start on month-end.

Getting a new phone is always a "thrill". I got one last year when we switched to Mint for a carrier.
Yesterday was a lazy day. We were both tired and never really got going. So I have a bit more to do today. But I will take some time for me to walk and have some dulcimer time.0 -

For some reason could not get into My Fitness yesterday
Too many folks trying for my attention and time.
Yoga this morning then a Masonic Funeral for friend, in late 90's
Eye still doing good, hard to remember: can't bend over or pick anything up over 15 lbs, can't touch eye
DMIL is working hard trying to kill DW and myself; spoke with DSIL and DBIL about assisted living, DW wants to wait another month then evaluate. Part of irritation is had to get her a new phone because old flip phone was old tech and no longer supported, Trying to teach a 94 y.o. new tech is a real pain!
Dave, they have pretty much shown that mask do not help unless one is using N-35 mask especially concerning COVID, but it does make some feel better. When going to eye doctor, office requires mask as does surgery center. Per nurse they had several out with COVID.
Reckon with schools starting back this week we will see an up-tick of COVID cases.0
