    Morning~

    Not sleeping well. Still uptight about news of my bosses pending retirement. VERY happy for him; selfishly sad personally. We are same grade/pay so I do not have any desire for his role. I'm a much better XO than I am "the boss" - so unsure yet what or how this plays out. Ugh....

    Hoping to get some pool time this afternoon and VFW meeting tonight.

    Good morning.

    I'm sorry you picked up the crud, Mary. I'm pretty sure everyone is supposed to get it at this point, so you fought the good fight and gave the Healthcare system a chance to figure out how to treat it when it was your turn. I consider it a win.

    To my knowledge, I never had it or had an asymptomatic case. Pretty much everyone I know here in Austin and my family back in Louisville has had it. But I'm counting the Shingles as my get out of jail free pass on this one.

    Skip - being XO is great as long as you have a CO that you trust. The reason to put in for CO is that you don't know if the next guy is going to be a good one or a *kitten*.

    Nobody likes change, Skip. I thought you were planning your own departure in another year, anyway. Just focus on your Carolina coastal future and ride out the short-term bumps in the road.

    Neither Rita nor I have had Covid, though it made its way through DS' household. Knock on wood.

    Feel better Mary. We have dodged Covid so far…hoping for a second booster before we travel via plane.

    Not much going on here. We need to nail down some plans for Cuba this week. So far we have a plane ticket there and nothing else until a condo in Cozumel a month later. Watched a bunch of YouTube videos yesterday on money, lodging and transportation. Going to be interesting.

    Good morning

    Cuba will be interesting Steph. I have a friend looking at properties to retire, buy a house in Panama this week.

    Definitely have a bad chest cold and the headache continues, very tired.

    Slept 12hours, did awake a couple times. In discussions with Dr. decided to take the antiviral med, with my Graves Disease and overweightness its a good option to help keep this in check and avoid critical illness. Another good reason to really crack down on some weightloss, just struggling with success in that area, given my wacked out hormones, meds, no thyroid, menopause and the list goes on, etc. But its possible, so I need to keep at it.

    Babys dad is now positive too but feels fine so far.

    I'm going to try to sleep the day away. Rain coming in away and work is slow.

    Maybe your retirement is closer than planned Skip?

    Yoga this morning
    Sprinkled all morning after weather forecast called for no rain till about 2 this afternoon, continues HOT
    Me and DW have been blessed and avoided COVID so far though DMIL as well as children and their spouses have had COVID including youngest grand.

    Skip, I've learned through time all works out in long range whether we agree at time or not
    Have busy day tomorrow, start with Emmaus breakfast, then Board of Equalization, then eye doctor hopefully Friday is free.
