✈️DESTINATION - Turquino National Park, Cuba 6,000 Miles - Exercise & Stretching & Salt off Table

Cuba, the Caribbean's largest and most fascinating island. The island is long and narrow, 750 miles from east to west, but only 60 miles wide in most places. We can explore the whole island! It’s known for its colonial charm and youthful energy with historical architecture, vintage cars, and white sand beaches. The beautifully restored buildings and cobblestone streets evoke the feel of a country frozen in time. In the evening live Caribbean music wafts through the squares, cafes and bars which offer the iconic Mojito cocktail and rumba/tango/salsa dancing.

Pico Turquino Mountain/National Park loosely translated as "turquoise peak", is the highest mountain in Cuba at 6,476 feet. Enjoy a wildlife tour through the park. There are 100 species of endemic plants, including orchids, bromeliads, and ferns, and you may even spot the bee hummingbird, the smallest bird on earth. Note - 22% of Cuba’s land is protected.

Race - You must exercise to earn air miles to get your team to the destination.
1 minute of exercise = 1 air mile

DAILY MAXIMUM 120 exercise minutes/air miles.

📝Living the Good Life – Stretching & Salt off Table

What is the first thing your dog or cat does when it wakes up?
What is the first thing an infant does when he/she wakes up?

If you guessed “stretch”, you are correct. Stretching is so natural, yet we don’t do it often enough. Stretching will increase your flexibility and your range of motion.

We hope stretching is already part of your daily exercise. For this week's Challenge, make stretching an intentional part of your day. Most experts recommend that people do a variety of stretches for 10-15 minutes per day. Hold each stretch for 15-30 seconds, repeating one or two more times, depending on how you feel.

Some benefits of stretching.

• Reduce muscle tension
• Lubricates joints
• Increase range of movement in the joints
• Enable your muscles to work most effectively
• Increase circulation of the blood to various parts of the body
• Increase energy levels (resulting from increased circulation)
• Decrease your risk of injuries
• Improve your ability to do daily activities.
