Is this modification okay?

I was not able to get in 3 workouts this week and still start week 3 on Monday like I wanted to do. We are leaving for the mountains to celebrate our anniversary on Monday and I wanted to get in my heavy day before leaving. I have been told they have free weights at our resort but I have no idea what to expect. Also, since we are only going to be there 3 nights I don't want to waste much time in the gym. They have tons of hiking/biking trails right off their property, an outlet mall within walking distance (uphill) and a beautiful, quaint town (Blowing Rock) we will be walking around so it's not like I won't be active. It's just too beautiful there to be in a gym anymore than I have to.
I thought I had read you can do 2 heavy days in place of the 3 he recommends, although it's less than ideal. Am I imagining this or is this okay?

That must be where I had read it. Thanks! I did take two days off inbetween. I will take 2 more and start week 3 Monday.0
